Is Lashley done with WWE?

Is Bobby Lashley done with WWE? That is the question floating around the wrestling world today, as the former ECW champion posted a surprise announcement on his website.

At www.bobbylashleyonline.com, Lashley posted in his forum a notice that his relationship with WWE is finished.

Here is what he wrote:

"I am sorry to everyone here but I am serious when I say I won't be back. Everyone wants to come here and hear the real story and I am telling you the real story. Circumstances which are out of my control left me no decision but to leave the WWE. I can't go into details of this now but like I said before sometimes people will hate you personally and try to destroy you which has happened here. Evil has prevailed however like I said before if you continue your struggle doors will open around these people. You have not scene the last of me so please don't stop your support. Add Bobby Lashley to the list of RECENTLY RELEASED!"

No official word yet from WWE, which continues to have a Lashley bio online.

Speculation is that one of the points of contention between WWE and Lashley is the release of his girlfriend, Kristal Marshall.

Lashley has been on the sidelines for five months, rehabbing an injured shoulder.

Given his legitimate amateur wrestling skills, a move into the surging mixed martial arts world isn't out of the question.
