WWE suddenly full of spills, thrills
By TIM BAINES - Ottawa Sun

I can't put my finger on a reason why, but WWE has gotten a whole lot better in the past few weeks. Maybe it's the writing. Maybe it's WWE's cast of characters, big and small.

But there's just something more compelling about the product these days. Take this week's RAW. A mini Royal Rumble with Hornswoggle was literally a mini Rumble, with midgets resembling Kane, Mr. Kennedy, Mankind and Batista.

And what an ending to the show! I don't care that Jeff Hardy landed into a padded mat. But the leap on to (or near) Randy Orton from way up on a tower was a "holy s--t" Hall-of-Fame moment.

All this just in time for next Sunday's Survivor Series, traditionally one of the highlights on WWE's calendar.

AROUND THE RING

Paul Wight (The Big Show) will return to WWE soon ... Mr. Kennedy was married last weekend. Best of luck to the groom and the bride, Mrs. Kennedy -- Kennedy ... The Wrestling Observer says WWE has cancelled plans to release Sting and Randy Savage DVDs.
