Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi, we get the fallout from Chavo Guerrero
viciously attacking CM Punk two weeks ago. Should be a good one!
And we are TAPED! from Richmond, Va. and we go right to the ring
where
ECW General Manager Armando Estrada shows that he is still indeed alive
and
introduces Chavo Guerrero.
Chavo goes on a spiel about how he got sick of watching CM Punk and
hearing about him and that's why he attacked him. Punk quickly
interrupts
the former Crusierweight Champion and heads to the ring with a mic in
hand.
Chavo tells Punk that he is a stepping stone for him and says that
in
2008, he'll be a champion again while pointing at Punk's ECW Title.
Punk
says that if Chavo wants to challenge him for the title, he's right
here.
Estrada then jumps in and says that Chavo has to earn his shot and
that
he'll have to beat Punk tonight to earn his shot.

Match #1 - John Morrison (Los Angeles, Calif.), The Miz
(Cleveland,
Ohio) & Layla (Miami, Fla.) vs. Jimmy Wang Yang (Austell, Ga.), Shannon
Moore (Whispering Pines, NC) & Kelly Kelly (Jacksonville, Fla.)
It seems like Yang and Moore are now called "The Redneck & The
Reject".
That's good to know.
The females start it out here with the usual tepid action that we
see out
of these two. That doesn't last long as Morrison tags in to battle
Kelly and
does his best "Ravishing" Rick Rude impression in front of Kelly and
gets a
big ol' slap to the face for it. Kelly is able to get out.
Now that the ladies are out of the ring, the action really picks up
as
these four continue to do good work together.
Morrison and Miz start to work over Moore with various double-team
maneuvers, but Moore is finally able to get the hot tag to Yang who
comes in
and starts running roughshod over Miz.
After disposing of Morrison as well, Yang plants a big ol' kiss onto
Layla who is then taken out by Kelly.
Miz comes back in and gets a moonsault press for his troubles and
that's
all she wrote.
Winners via pinfall: Jimmy Wang Yang, Shannon Moore & Kelly

Tazz is in the ring with Colin Delaney who was demolished by Shelton
Benjamin two weeks ago. The monkeys in the truck run the footage of
that.
He'll have his second match tonight and feels he has the jitters out of
the
way. He says his New Year's Resolution is that he wanted to be a WWE
superstar. His opponent tonight...
Match #2 - Colin Delaney (Rochester, NY) vs. Big Daddy V (Harlem,
NY)
This match lasted exactly 93 seconds and went about exactly as you'd
expect.
Move along, nothing to see here.
Winner via demolition: Big Daddy V
Shelton Benjamin is heading to the ring and will be in action
NEXT!

Match #3 - Shelton Benjamin (Orangeburg, SC) vs. James Curtis
(Rockford, Ill.)
Perennial jobber James Curtis returns to the Land of Extreme, this
time
hailing from Rockford, Ill.
Shelton has his way with Curtis for the entire match and just
totally has
his way with him.
Curtis lands some hope punches but it doesn't last for long as
Benjamin
lifts him up for the turnbuckle powerbomb followed by the Inverted
Bulldog
for the finish.
Winner via pinfall: Shelton Benjamin

Next week, it's 15 Minutes of Fame for the WWE Tag Team Championship
as
John Morrison and The Miz (HOO-RAH!) defend against the ever-pesky
Jimmy
Wang Yang and Shannon Moore. The team with the most falls in the 15
minutes
wins the match.
Match #4 - CM Punk (Chicago, Ill.) vs. Chavo Guerrero (El Paso,
Tx.)
The two go tit-for-tat early on with neither gaining any big
advantage.
Punk eventually gets the better of Chavo, briefly, so lets head
to...

We're back and Punk is on top for a bit until Guerrero uses some
counters
to drop Punk. Chavo starts working on Punk's legs with an Indian Death
Lock.
Punk gets some brief hope but Guerrero responds with a chop block that
keeps
Punk grounded.
Guerrero just won't give up in working on the knee, but Punk gets
out and
starts delivering his trademark kicks and knees but has trouble
delivering
them due to the previously-mentioned work over. Guerrero drives Punk
into
the corner but his attempt to Irish Whip him is reversed into a running
knee
and a bulldog.
Guerrero then counters an Irish Whip attempt into a Half Crab but
Punk
gets to the ropes. With both men standing, Guerrero hits two of Three
Amigos
but Punk counters the third into a GTS attempt, but his knee can't
hold.
Guerrero then forces both men over the top and to the outside. Both
men
get up at about five and try to get back into the ring and try to keep
the
other out. Punk gains the upper hand by pushing Chavo off into the
aisle and
he can't make the 10 count.
Winner via countout: CM Punk
Chavo's not getting his shot.
