Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: It's Champion vs. Champion as ECW Champion CM Punk
takes on United States Champion Montel Vontavious Porter. Should be a good
one!
And we are LIVE! from Rochester, NY.
Match #1 - John Morrison (Los Angeles, Calif.) & The Miz (Cleveland,
Ohio) vs. Jimmy Wang Yang (Austell, Ga.) & Shannon Moore (Whispering Pines,
NC)
This is a rematch of last week's "hotly contested" bout which saw Yang
and Moore battle hard but fall just short.
The speed of Yang and Moore prevails early as they work to grind down
Morrison with a high flying offense. Morrison gets a tag to his partner, but
it's more of the same as Yang & Moore work together.
But it backfires on them as, with the champs on the outside, they go for
a double-baseball slide but are both caught and dragged hard to the
outside.

We're back and Morrison and The Miz (HOO-RAH!) remain in control,
isolating Yang from his partner but it doesn't last long as Moore gets the
"hot" tag and starts running over Morrison.
Moore goes to the top but is distracted by Miz and is then thrown from the
position. Miz then gets the tag and goes to work. The champs are once again
doing a great job of isolating Moore as Morrison gets the tag and continues
to work on Moore's head and neck region including a European uppercut to the
neck.
But the action turns outside where Moore hits a corkscrew moonsault on
Morrison and Yang and Miz get back into the ring.
The two go back and forth until Yang counters the Reality Check and they
run toward Morrison who is on the apron. Yang ducks and Morrison hits Miz
with a roundhouse kick which sends him stumbling. Yang capitalizes by
heading to the top and hitting the moonsault for the pin.
Winners via pinfall: Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore

We're back and Tazz is in between a jobber (Colin Delaney) and ECW's
"Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin. Tazz gives job boy some mic time asking
him some random questions and he reveals that it is his first match. Oh
boy.
Match #2 - Shelton Benjamin (Orangeburg, SC) vs. Colin Delaney
(Rochester, NY)
Tazz says that this is like a "Maserati versus a stagecoach."
Shelton hits T-Bone Suplex that puts Delaney down. Delaney gets up and
punches Benjamin. That doesn't sit well with the former Intercontinental
Champion who answers with a kick to the face.
After that, Benjamin hits a powerbomb into the top turnbuckle and follows
that up with his new finisher which Joey Styles describes as a "leaping
inverted bulldog," and that's all she wrote.
Winner via pinfall: Shelton Benjamin

Match #3 - Kenny Dykstra (Worcester, Mass.) vs. Nunzio (Rockland
County, NY)
Nunzio is out dressed like an elf and handing out candy canes to the
crowd. Tazz believes that Nunzio has a fetish for costumes. Ooooook,
buddy.
Kenny starts out in control after slapping a candy cane out of Nunzio's
hand. He then grabs the sack that contained all the canes and dumps them
out into the ring.
Mick Foley's wrestled in thumbtacks, Terry Funk in barbed wire. Kenny and
Nunzio? Candy canes. ECW! ECW! ECW!
Kenny controls the whole thing before hitting the Guillotine Leg Drop for
the win.
Winner via pinfall: Kenny Dykstra
Up next: It's the main event between CM Punk and MVP!

Match #4 - ECW Champion CM Punk (Chicago, Ill.) vs. United States
Champion "Half Man/Half Amazing" Montel Vontavious Porter (Miami,
Fla.)

Back from break and the match is in progress with MVP holding a chinlock.
The two go back-and-forth for much of the early portion of the match before
MVP takes over after stealing a page from Punk's book, using kicks to tame
the ECW Champion. Later, MVP uses a series of knees to put down Punk.
MVP hits a jawbreaker that gets two and goes for a follow-up cover that goes
nowhere. After a bit of a cable outage, MVP has Punk in a modified Camel
Clutch but Punk powers up and slams MVP to the canvas.
MVP quickly regains the momentum and goes for a suplex but Punk counters by
kneeing MVP in the head while he was in the air.
This creates an opening for Punk as he hits a running knee and a springboard
cross body for two. MVP hits a German suplex with a bridge for two but Punk
follows with an enziguri. He goes to the top but is reversed crotched into a
Tree of Woe. From there, MVP goes nuts on Punk, hitting him with closed
fists. Referee Scott Armstrong gave MVP three tries to back off, but he
failed to answer the count of five.
Winner via disqualification: CM Punk
After the match, with Punk laid out in the ring, Chavo Guerrero comes out
of nowhere (and I mean nowhere) and lays a beating on Punk with "the most
deliberate, methodical Three Amigos" ever delivered, according to Styles.
After that, Guerrero goes to the top and hits the Frog Splash. Guerrero
stands over Punk and we go off the air with more questions than answers.
