Impact: Christian Cage goes it alone
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

TNA has turned to gang warfare, as the rivalry between the Christian Coalition and The Angle Alliance continues on this edition of Impact. On this episode's main event, Kurt Angle and Robert Roode will be teaming up to take on Christian Cage and a partner of his choosing. Will Cage be able to find an ally in the TNA locker rroom, or will his cocky attitude come back to bite him? Read the report and find out.

The show began with a recap of the last edition of Impact, as Christian Cage made his way into the Imapact Zone. Cage said that he deserved what he got, he deserved to get beaten down. He admits to being an "asshole" and goes on to say that even after he was beaten down, he was still going to be an "asshole." Kurt Angle, Karen Angle and Robert Roode then came out and ran down Cage, talking about the tag team main event and telling him that he wasn't going to have a partner because he was hated in TNA. Cage and Kurt agreed that TNA wasn't big enough for both their egos. Cage then insulted Karen and Roode snapped, saying that the Angle Alliance was going to destroy Cage. In the back, Jeremy Borash caught up with AJ Styles and Tomko, who were at odds on what side to choose. Tomko called Styles out, saying he was like Deion Sanders. He then said he had to make up his mind as to which team he wanted to be on.

Mike Tenay and Don West hyped the Feast or Fired match and recapped it with a video package. This match was interesting on several levels. In the back, Crystal spoke with Petey Williams, who said he was sure that his briefcase had the TNA Heavyweight Championship shot in it and said that if he won the Fatal Four Way, he was going to keep his briefcase. Hermie Sadler came out and joined Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary for the Feast or Fired Fatal Four Way.

Match One - Feast or Fired Fatal Four Way Match For $50,000 or Choice of Which briefcase to Open

- Scott Steiner vs. BG James w/ Kip James and Roxxie Laveaux vs. Petey Williams vs. Christopher Daniels

This was a pretty good match, with all four men intervening on each other's attempts to win. After a series of finishers were hit, Scott Steiner planted Petey Williams with a Belly to Belly Suplex and picked up the win. Jeremy Borash then entered the ring and asked Scott Steiner what he wanted to do. Steiner decided to trade cases with Petey Williams. Back from the commercial break, Borash had the TNA girls open Williams' briefcase, which was Steiner's, revealing a shot at the TNA Heavyweight Championship. Williams was excited, while Steiner was pissed.

In the back, Crystal was with Kaz, who said that he has to go up against Rellik. He said he was confident, as Christian Cage walked in and asked him to be his partner. He said that Kaz owed him. Kaz told Cage that they should close their eyes and ponder this. When Cage did, Kaz took off.

Match Two - Rellik vs. Kaz

Instead of calling him Rellik, why don't they just call him "Rebboj." Wave of the Future seals the fate of Rellik once again. After the match, Black Reign ran down and beat on Kaz, with the help of Rellik. The duo then placed the bag with Misty in it, over the head of Kaz, while referees and security ran down to make the save.

Winner Via Pinfall - Kaz

Jeremy Borash was backstage with Talia Madison and Angelina Love who said that they were going to defeat Jackie Moore and Ms. Brooks. They also told JB to get his mind out of the gutter. On the other end, Crystal caught up with Ms. Brooks, Jackie Moore, Robert Roode and James Storm. Storm and Moore were drunk and Brooks was pissed. Moore poured beer on Brooks and she threw a fit. Roode told her to shut up and listen to Moore, because she was a veteran. He then told her not to screw up.

Match Three - Angelina Love and Velvet Sky vs. Jackie Moore and Ms. Brooks

Jackie Moore drank beer the entire match, while Ms. Brooks fended off the opposition. A miscommunication sent Brooks into Moore and got her rolled up for the three count. After the match, Robert Roode came down and broke up a near fight between Brooks and Moore, defending Brooks. Brooks seemed happy, until Roode lashed out at her. The President of the Robert Roode Fan Club appeared to be very happy. Sharmell came down and told Roode she was tired of Roode. Roode then ran down Sharmell, until Booker T ran out and chased Roode to the back.

Winners Via Pinfall - Angelina Love and Velvet Sky

In the locker room area, Crystal followed Christian Cage around, because Jeremy Borash was "playing Deal or No Deal." Cage burst into Kevin Nash's locker room humming the Wolfpack theme, waking Nash up. Cage asked Nash to be his partner, but Nash declined. He told Cage he could find a partner "down here." Cage asked where that was and Nash gave him a crotch chop. Ha, ha.

James Mitchell made his way into the Impact Zone and called out Abyss. He poked at Abyss to tell his real dirty secret, but Abyss declined and went to beat on Mitchell, until the lights went out and Judas Mesias made his return. Mesias choked Abyss with barbed wire, and then busted him open. He then laid him out with seveal chair shots, before being finished off.

In the back, Jeremy Borash was with Booker T and Sharmell. Booker said that he was ready to take out Robert Roode for what he has been saying. Christian Cage wandered into the shot and was asked what he wanted. Cage asked Booker to be his partner, but Booker declined, leaving Cage to continue his search.

Match Four - Booker T w/ Sharmell vs. Chris Harris

Chris Harris grabbed a mic before the match and complained about not even being asked by Christian Cage to be his partner. Booker came in and took the offense right to Harris, hitting the Book End and finishing him off with the Axe Kick for the win.

Winner Via Pinfall - Booker T

Back from another commercial break, with Jeremy Borash in the ring. He then asked for the case of BG James to opened, revealing a TNA Tag Team Championship match. BG James then made mention that his partner was to be determined, which got him and Kip James into a heated argument.

Backstage, Crystal was with Dustin Rhodes, who said he couldn't control Black Reign. Kaz then ran in and beat him down, as security came to break up the right.

Match Five - X Division Lumberjack Match - Jay Lethal vs. Johnny Devine

Good match, that saw the X Division whip Johnny Devine, however, when Jay Lethal was tossed to the outside, they let him rest. After a severe whipping, Devine was tossed back into the ring and hit with the Lethal Combination and an elbow drop for the win. After the match, the X Division held Devine hostage and whipped him some more until Team 3D came out and Devine escaped. Team 3D went to get into the ring, but backed off and retreated.

Winner Via Pinfall - Jay Lethal

A Feast or Fired results recap was shown, as JB hyped the cases that remained. Scott Steiner said that Petey Williams lied to him and he was going to get his case back. Security was brought out to escort the Fired competitor out of the Impact Zone. After a commercial break, the cases were opened, revealing a TNA X Division Championship match for Scott Steiner and Fired slip for Christopher Daniels. Daniels cried and left TNA. Wonder if some curry would make him feel better?

Christian Cage and Samoa Joe were shown arguing in the back, as Crystal watched. Joe told Cage that he wouldn't be his partner, as Cage told Crystal he was going to go out there with the only person that mattered to him, himself.

Match Six - Two on One Handicap Match - Kurt Angle and Robert Roode w/ Karen Angle vs. Christian Cage

This was a good Main Event. Christian Cage did his best to counter the odds, and had Robert Roode pinned at one point, but distractions from the Angles saved the match. Karen Angle provided a major distraction, that allowed Kurt Angle and Roode to hit a double team spike piledriver for the win. After the match, the beat down continued, as AJ Styles came out to make the save, but turned away. Kurt then grabbed a mic and said that there was going to be a Christmas Party on the next edition of Impact and Christian Cage wasn't going to make it.

Winners Via Pinfall - Kurt Angle and Robert Roode

The Christmas Edition of Impact was hyped to round out another edition of Impact.
