Raw: Can't get enough of that DX schtick
By DALE PLUMMER -- SLAM! Wrestling

Is it really a reunion if the band never broke up? That question probably won't be answered in Los Angeles, tonight. DX is still getting back together, even though they never officially broke apart. And Survivor Series is two weeks away.

DX kicks off the show, tossing glow sticks to the crowd. (Gotta keep that marketing machine running.) Triple H is the first on the mike, but his normal DX shtick is interrupted by Hornswoggle. He gives HBK the DX chop, and is very excited to be in the ring. Triple H tells him to go back under the ring. Shawn pulls out the run sheet, and Triple H shows Hornswoggle that his name isn't on it for segment one, but he does show up in the short segment. HBK says he's in. Triple H shoots that idea down. Hornswoggle says there's a monster under the ring, HBK checks. He gives the all clear, but is then dragged under the ring. HBK emerges with a mouthful of worms. The Boogeyman climbs out from under the ring amid smoke and lights. OOOKKKAAAYYYY. Triple H wants to know if he can help him. The Boogeyman wants to join DX. HBK lets him in. Triple H goes for the D spiel again, but is then interrupted by the Great Khali, who strides to the ring. HBK says they should just pretend he isn't there, and Triple H tells Khali to get in line. Trips tries again, but Coach interrupts, saying enough is enough. Coach shuts down the promo. Triple H whispers something to Khali's translator, and Khali walks toward Coach, laying him out with one hand. Finally, DX is alone in the ring and can't believe what has happened. Shawn says it's almost as bad as Katie Vick. Triple H says nobody writes this crap because they're all on strike.

Match #1 -- Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix

(Kelly here's the good news. You get to be on RAW, without The Miz. The bad news; Beth Phoenix is going to destroy you.)

Winner via pinfall: Beth Phoenix

Santino Marella is in the back with some bad news. Stone Cold is not going to show up. Marella brought a paper bag as back up, because Stone Cold couldn't act his way out of one.

Match #2 -- Carlito vs. Joey Jobber

Carlito says this match is cool, so he has found a replacement.

Match #2 -- Snitsky vs. Joey Jobber

Snitsky squashes the poor kid.

Winner via pinfall: Snitsky

Carlito raises Snitsky's hand, but Snitsky drops Carlito with a big boot, and then nails a pump handle slam.

Match #3 -- Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy and Finlay

Finlay faces off with Hardy (note: 45 minutes into the show and we finally see some real wrestling.) Finlay shows off some amateur moves, until Hardy slaps him in the face. Hardy then knocks Kennedy off the apron, and Finlay clotheslines Hardy over the top. Rey saves his partner on the outside, as Finlay and Kennedy stare each other down.

We return to find Mysterio and Kennedy in the ring. Mysterio lands on the apron after a back drop and hits a springboard leg drop. Kennedy responds with a low drop kick to the knee. Finlay tags in and continues to work over the knee of Mysterio. Finlay knocks Hardy off the apron. Kennedy tags back in and continues to focus on Mysterio's knee. Mysterio counters a wheelbarrow and Hardy gets the hot tag. Hardy hits a splash, and then slingshots himself into the sternum of Kennedy. Hardy follows with a Whisper in the Wind. Hardy goes for the pin, but Finlay tossed Hardy out of the ring. Mysterio hits the ring, knocking both Finlay and Kennedy into the ropes. Rey hits a 619 on Kennedy and the drops the dime on Finlay on the outside. Hardy hits a swanton bomb to Kennedy and covers for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio

Maria tells Santino that Stone Cold is here. Santino says it's just a rumor, and heads to the ring.

Marella gets in the ring, telling the crowd Stone Cold won't be here. Marella calls out the director of The Condemned. Marella runs down the movie, and then the people of Los Angeles. Santino butchers Stone Cold's catch phrases, but then the glass shatters and Stone Cold walks to the ring with a copy of his movie in hand. Stone Cold corrects Santino on his lines. Stone Cold wants to know if Santino watched The Condemned. Stone Cold tells Santino that they'll drink some beers, and he'll head off. Santino calls the beer horrible. Stone Cold gives Santino a copy of the movie. Santino drops it to the mat, and kicks it to the side. Stone Cold doesn't say a word; he just gives him the Stone Cold Stunner. Stone Cold says he'll be right back. Austin returns driving the beer truck, and then turns the hose on Santino. (I believe I have seen this before ... I just can't quite place it.) Austin sets his sights on Maria, who begs not to get drenched. Austin goes with the crowd, and turns the hose on her.

Hornswoggle is with his Dad. Vince says he loves him, and needs to show some tough love. Hornswoggle will face the Great Khali at Survivor Series.

Triple H admits that he's here to waste time as the crew changes the ring. HBK says it's ready and the DX dancers comes out, and it's our old fat friend. Triple H pushes him out, and the Girls Next Door from Playboy show up.

Match #4 -- Cody Rhodes w/ Hardcore Holly vs. Trevor Murdoch w/ Lance Cade

Before the match, Mickie James wishes Murdoch good luck. Cade just blows her off. Murdoch starts off with hard slap across the back. Rhodes goes up and over, but lands on the apron. Rhodes shoulders Murdoch in the gut. Murdoch hits a clubbing blow across the back. Rhodes hits a drop kick and follows with a bulldog and scoop slam. Cody drops a knee, but cannot get the pin. Rhodes gets a boot up the corner. Rhodes blocks a cheap shot from Cade, and is able to leapfrog Murdoch off the top turnbuckle, causing Murdoch to slam into the turnbuckle. Rhodes rolls up Murdoch for the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Cody Rhodes

Match #5 -- The World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Super Crazy and Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Super Crazy is slammed all over the ring by Haas and Benjamin. Super Crazy pulls out a roll-up out of nowhere and gets the three count on Benjamin.

Winner via pinfall: Super Crazy and Hacksaw Jim Duggan

Match #6 -- DX vs. Umaga and Randy Orton

WHAT YOU THINK
So DX is together again ... again. Your thoughts?
It's great - 43%
I'm sick of them - 28%
I don't care one way or the other - 29%
Triple H and HBK hit the ring and all four men brawl. Orton is knocked from the ring, and then Umaga is thrown out by DX. Michaels flies over the top rope onto Umaga, while Triple H smashes Orton into the announce table. Back in the ring, Umaga tries to slam HBK, but Michaels counters with a sunset flip but can't get it over. Trips tags in, and hits a DDT on Umaga. Triple H is caught by Umaga and leveled with a sidewalk slam.

After the break, Umaga is pummeling Triple H in the corner. Triple H ducks the corner charge, but Orton tags in. Trips gets a boot up on Orton's charge. HBK gets the hot tag, hitting Orton with a flying forearm and an inverted atomic drop. HBK climbs the turnbuckle and hits a flying elbow. HBK then turns right into a clothesline from Umaga. Orton tags out, and Umaga works over HBK in the corner. Orton tags back in, connecting with a dropkick. Orton stomps away at HBK. Umaga tags in and hits a standing splash. HBK gets to his feet, only to get knocked back down with a head butt. Umaga climbs to the middle rope, but Shawn rolls away from a splash. Umaga grabs HBK by the ankle, but Michaels hits the enzuguri. Triple H gets the tag, and so does Orton. Umaga is tossed face first into the turnbuckle. Orton is hit with a spinebuster, and sets up a pedigree, but Umaga hits him with the spike. After a near fall by Orton, Umaga tags backs in, dragging Trips into the corner. Umaga hits him with a full head of steam. Umaga goes for a splash off the middle rope, but Triple H gets his knees up. Orton tags himself in and stalks Triple H. Hunter blocks the RKO, pushing Orton into Umaga. HBK gets the tag ducks a shot from Orton, and connects with Sweet Chin Music. HBK covers for the win.

Winner via pinfall: DX
