Smackdown: Henry & Khali put the squeeze on
By ANDY McNAMARA - SLAM! Wrestling

Coming off of their Cyber Sunday main event, Batista and Undertaker are thrown into a tag team rumble versus The Great Khali and Mark Henry. Mick Foley makes a hometown Long Island, New York appearance and gets an assist from a little friend. One match not to miss is the wrestling clinic put on by Rey Mysterio and Jamie Noble. Smackdown comes at you right about ... now, so on to the report!

The program begins with the world heavyweight champion Batista coming in the ring and saying how proud he was to finally being able to defeat The Undertaker. He then wondered out loud if The Dead Man had his back in their tag match together tonight. Lights go down and Taker appears stating indirectly that he wants a rematch. The Animal grants it to him, and then Undertaker snarls, "Hell in a Cell".

Jamie Noble is backstage when he freaks out as Vickie Guerrero appears. He goes over how he is minding his own business and didnít want any trouble. Vickie tells him heís facing Rey Mysterio later tonight and Noble is thrilled that he will not be fighting a giant.

Match 1: Domino w/ Deuce & Cherry vs. Festus w/ Jesse

The former Deep South Wrestling Freakiní Deacon is having his first singles competition on Smackdown. Festus snaps into focus as he back drops and shoulder tackles his opponent. Domino sneaks in an eye rake and then begins to hammer home knees all over the big man. Jesse takes care of an interfering Deuce on the outside, while Festus hits a firemanís carry into a modified F5.

WINNER: Festus

Match 2: Rey Mysterio vs. Jamie Noble

These two start off quickly with some solid reversals and crisp aerial tactics. Noble is able to roll out of the ring after Mysterio nailed a flying head scissors and just before he was victim of a 619. Finlay is out at ringside, distracting Rey and allowing Noble to gain control with a spinning neck hang on the top rope. Noble begins working over the left arm of Mysterio, and following some back and forth battling Jamie goes for the Tiger Bomb. Rey is able to wiggle away and connects with the West Coast Pop for the victory. Finlay cuts a promo from the floor calling Mysterio a quitter from his giving up last year in the I Quit Match. The Irishman calls Rey weak and that when they fight next week Mysterio will be a loser.

WINNER: Rey Mysterio

Match 3: MVP vs. Kane (non-title)

A methodical beatdown by Kane occurs with plenty of kicks, punches, and a massive big boot. MVP cannot seem to keep any momentum as The Big Red Machine always comes back quickly. MVP delivers a running head kick to Kane, sending him to the outside, and follows that up with a baseball slide. Following the commercial break the U.S. champion is focusing on the injured ribs of Kane, but a missed running boot puts the big man back in control. Kane hits the top rope clothesline, and out comes Big Daddy V to attempt a distraction. It does not work as Kane nails the chokeslam for the three count. Big Daddy V jumps in to deliver a Samoan drop and leave The Big Red Machine writhing in pain.

WINNER: Kane

Match 4: Mick Foley vs. Jonathan Coachman w/ Hornswaggle as special referee

This is a continuation of Mick Foley costing Coach his match against Hornswaggle on Raw. Nothing too special here as Hornswaggle assists Foley in embarrassing Coach. This "comedy" contest comes to an end following Mr. Socko, and a Tadpole Splash. The Long Island crowd pops big for the hometown hero Mick Foley.

WINNER: Mick Foley

Match 5: Chuck Palumbo w/ Michelle McCool vs. Kenny Dykstra w/ Victoria

I am so sick of this match, which seems to happen on a weekly basis -- hello creative team -- it is not a rivalry if Palumbo always wipes the floor with Kenny! Dykstra starts off by slapping Palumbo, and thatís about all the offence he will be getting in. Chuck whips him around with a variety of suplexes after Kenny was able to drill him with several spears into the ring apron. A big powerslam and boot to the face set up Palumbo heading to the top rope. Victoria tries to distract him, however, Michelle trips her up. This gives Kenny a moment to attempt a superlex, however, Chuck tosses him off, flies with a shoulder tackle, and finishes off poor Kenny after the Full Throttle.

WINNER: Chuck Palumbo

Match 6: Main Event - The Undertaker & Batista vs. Mark Henry & The Great Khali

Starting off are The Undertaker and Mark Henry, and it is Taker going to work on The Silver Back in the corner. The Dead Man tries for Old School but is thrown across the ring before he can ascend to the top turnbuckle. Henry storms into a big boot and then falls victim to Old School. Coming back from the break it is Batista delivering shoulder strikes to the mid-section of Henry, and he then tags out to Taker who hits a running knee. Later on, The Worldís Strongest Man is able to isolate The Animal in his team's corner and both himself and Khali take turns pounding away. Eventually Khali is able to put the shoulder claw on the world champion, but Batista escapes only to come off the ropes to a hard chop to the head. Khali sinks in the Vice Grip, and Batista gets lucky as The Undertaker breaks it up. Momentum shifts quickly back and forth until The Animal connects with a huge spinebuster to Henry. Khali is able to break free of Undertakerís chokeslam attempt, but not from a big kick. Batista has Henry set up for a Batista Bomb but ... in comes JBL with a clothesline to the champion! The Smackdown colour commentator then leaves things to the monsters as Henry slaps on a bear hug to Batista and Khali lays a Vice Grip onto Taker. JBL ends the show back at the announce table ranting on about The Animal.

WINNERS: Batista & Undertaker by DQ
