Impact: Team Pacman tags a big dog
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

The challenges have been made, the contracts have been signed and at No Surrender, Kurt Angle will put all his TNA gold up for grabs. On this edition of Impact, the new tag champs, Kurt Angle and Sting, go up against Jay Lethal and Abyss in a non-title affair. Will the champs be able to co-exist? Read the report and find out.

The show began with a recap of the last edition of Impact. Team Pacman is shown arriving to the Impact Zone in a red Hummer. Pacman Jones said that there was still one big dog that needed to be autographed. Mike Tenay and Don West did their usual intro and informed of a big announcement to be made at the No Surrender PPV.

Match One - Kazarian vs. Tomko

Kazarian had Tomko on the defensive for most of the match, but wound up getting distracted by Robert Roode, who on several occasions got invovled in the match. A tree slam from Tomko was enough to put Kazarian down for the three count. After the match, Ms. Brooks came down to check on Kazarian, as Roode slid in and started putting the boots to Kazarian. He then yelled at Brooks and was shoved down by Tomko.

Winner Via Pinfall - Tomko

The card for No Surrender was run down. In the back, Jeremy Borash was with Sting who said that he knows he can't trust Kurt Angle, but they can work together and try to achieve bigger and better things. Karen Angle came in and ran down Sting, who told her she had to stay in the back. She protested, but Kurt Angle stepped in and told Sting he could talk to her that way if he wanted.

Back from a commercial break, and a package was shown highlighting Black Reign. In the back, Chris Harris was interviewed and said that he used to be friends with Dustin Rhodes, but he let his guard down and now he is coming for Rhodes' blood. JB was then shown standing by with Jay Lethal and Abyss. Lethal laid claim to the X Title, while Abyss said that he was going to take Angle's gold as well. Samoa Joe was walking in the back, as Team Pacman said that Joe could be their next victim.

Back from another commercial break, where James Storm and Jackie were shown at an AA meeting. Storm asked where Rhino was, but they couldn't find him. Storm then presented the group with a six pack and left.

Match Two - Samoa Joe vs. Raven

Samoa Joe had things going his way, until Raven began whacking him with a kendo stick. AJ Styles then came out and went to work with a kendo stick of his own. Back from the commercial break, and Joe was back in control. Styles tried to hold Joe back, so Raven could apply the rag of amonia, but Joe fought it off and locked in the rear naked choke for the win. After the match, Joe went after Styles, but Tomko and Christian Cage hit the ring and laid Joe out. They handcuffed him to the ropes and proceeded to beat down some of Joe's dancers that came out to save him, even laying one of them out with a conchairto, as Joe looked on in rage. Security eventually came out and stopped the Coalition's brutal assault.

Winner Via Submission - Samoa Joe

Back from commercial break, with a package being shown to hype the arrival of James Mitchell's new son, Judas Mesias. Mike Tenay and Don West then ran down the Coalition's brutal assault. Mike Tenay also got on the phone with Rhino who promised he would be at No Surrender.

Match Three - Kurt Angle and Sting vs. Abyss and Jay Lethal

Great back and forth main event. Tons of action in this one. Lots of near falls and close calls, that ended with Abyss rolling through the Ankle Lock and hitting a Black Hole Slam for the win. After the match, some replays were shown, as Abyss went under the ring and got his bag of tacks and glass. James Mitchell then appeared at the top of the ramp, as Abyss went up to get him. Team Pacman came out and tossed Sting. They then beat down Angle and Pacman autographed him, as Sting came to his senses and cleared the ring and came to Angle's aide. Team Pacman then retreated to the back, having accomplished their goal.

Winners Via Pinfall - Abyss and Jay Lethal
