Impact: One Angle beats two Steiners
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Impact is back as the road to No Surrender continues. Kurt Angle's challengers have been chosen, but before he can worry about his title defenses, he must first defend his wife, because on this edition of Impact, Kurt Angle takes on the Steiners in a Handicap match. If the Steiners win, they get a chance to teach Karen a lesson. Will Karen remain in the safe zone or will the Steiners exact some revenge for Samoa Joe?

Impact began with highlights from the last edition. Jeremy Borash caught up with The Angles arriving. Karen was nervous, but Kurt told her that he would make sure he got her out of this. Karen told Kurt to carry his own titles, to which Kurt responded that they needed to get a divorce. Mike Tenay and Don West did their usual welcome and hyped Pacman Jones.

Match One - Kazarian and Gail Kim vs. Robert Roode and Ms. Brooks

Back and forth encounter here. The end came when Kazarian and Roode fought to the floor. Kim and Brooks went at it in the ring, ending with Kim rolling up Brooks in a small package. After the match, Roode beat down Kazarian and then yelled at Brooks, telling her that he owned her. Kazarian got back up and sent Roode to the floor with a Yakuza Kick. He told Roode that since he didn't know how to treat a lady he was going to show him how. He kissed Brooks to which she showed her approval. Too bad Bentley is gone, would've been nice to have that trio back together.

Winners Via Pinfall - Kazarian and Gail Kim

Mike Tenay and Don West mention that this is the 100th episode of Impact on Spike TV. They also recap how Abyss remained the number one contender by defeating Christian Cage on the last edition of Impact. At Christian's house, Tomko and AJ Styles were standing by with Christian Cage. Cage was sitting in a wheel chair because of the beating he suffered from Abyss. Styles said he was afraid to be at the Impact Zone because of Samoa Joe, but he promised that they would get revenge. Cage was all beaten up and mentioned how his wife was worried. He told them that he had twins on the way as well. He asked Styles and Tomko to go make him proud and they promised to do so.

Back from a commercial break, James Storm was searching bars for Rhino. Storm got on the phone and found out where Rhino was and claimed it was a complete dump. The bartender told Storm to get out because he always gets into fights there. Storm then proceeded to get into a fight. In Jim Cornette's office, Kurt and Karen Angle showed up. Cornette sent Matt Morgan outside to make sure there wasn't any trouble. Angle tried to backpeddle and get a partner to face the Steiners, but Cornette didn't budge. Angle tried to explain Karen's innocence, but Cornette said she was a phony, to which Karen flipped out. Cornette said that they would hold a lottery on the next edition of Impact to determine Angle's partner to go against Team Pacman at No Surrender. Karen flipped out again as Cornette made his ruling. Another package was shown for "Black Reign" Dustin Rhodes.

Match Two - Ron Killings vs. Eric Young

Eric Young had things going his way into the commercial break, but once we got back from the break, Killings was in charge. Dustin Rhodes came out to watch. Killings went to bring a chair into play, but when he shoved the ref, Young dropkicked the chair into his face. The chair remained in play, as the ref was shoved again and Young was whacked. Killings then followed up with a legdrop for the win. After the match, Killings called out Pacman Jones who came out, gave Killings a hug and signed an autograph for him.

In the back, Jeremy Borash caught Tomko and AJ Styles as they looked around for Samoa Joe. Team 3D walked in and apologized to The Steiners, saying that they acted like jerks and that the Steiners are truly great. They promised to stop acting like idiots and refocus themselves on the TNA Tag Team Titles.

Back from the commercial break, Tomko and AJ Styles were at Samoa Joe's lockeroom. Tomko and Styles argued a bit, as Joe opened the door and pulled Tomko in. Styles yelled, as Joe opened the door again and chased him away. Joe caught Styles and tossed him into the ring, and proceeded to beat him down. Tomko came out, along with Christian Cage, who clobbered Joe with a steel chair. After a Tomko Tree Slam, Joe was laid out with a conchairto courtesy of Cage.

In the back, Jeremy Borash was with the Angle family. Karen stretched as Kurt made fun of her. She told Kurt that she didn't want to face The Steiners and that he better get her out of it. Kurt said that he would and told her to take the titles. She told him to stick them as Kurt told JB not to get married. Back from a commercial break, a package was shown of James Mitchell promising to unleash his new monster, Judas Mesias.

Match Three - Handicap Match - Kurt Angle vs. The Steiners (Rick and Scott Steiner)

The Steiners had things under control, until Karen Angle got involved and grabbed Rick. Rick chased her around, as Kurt clotheslined Scott out of the ring to the floor. Rick got back in the ring and hit a powerslam on Kurt, followed by a top rope bulldog. Karen distracted the ref, as Team 3D came out and hit a 3D on Rick, allowing Kurt to roll over and get the win. Afterwards, the Angles retreated to the back, as Team 3D laid out The Steiners, ending with a top rope powerbomb on Rick through a table.

Winner Via Pinfall - Kurt Angle
