Impact: Total Nonstop Angle
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Victory Road is right around the corner and one half of the main event has already been decided, as Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe will be joining forces to go up against Team 3D. However, on this edition of Impact, Team 3D will put their titles and opportunity up for grabs, as they defend against LAX and the reuniting Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles. Will Team 3D make it to Victory Road? Read the report and find out.

The TNA Heavyweight Championship match from the last edition of Impact was recapped and the TNA intro played, as Mike Tenay and Don West did their usual hype job. A video package was shown highlighting the three way TNA Tag Team Championship match, leading to...

Match One - TNA Tag Team Championship Three Way Dance - Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) (C) vs. LAX (Homicide and Hernandez) vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels

Team 3D broke out their tag team expertise early on, bringing the heavy offense to LAX and nearly picking up the win. Back from the commercial break and LAX was in charge, wearing down Brother Devon. LAX continued to show dominance and had the match going their way, only for Team 3D to be back in control after the second commercial break. Styles and Daniels picked their shots, but eventually were caught and hung out to dry as Daniels wound up on the receieving end of the 3D.

Winners Via Pinfall and STILL TNA Tag Team Champions - Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon)

In the back, they hyped Kurt Angle's win over Brock Lesnar for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, while Lance Hoyt and Christy Hemme were found getting it on. Hoyt then took a break to run down VKM and say that he played them all along.

Samoa Joe found Team 3D and congratulated them on being his latest victims. He said that he was going to use Kurt Angle to get the tag titles, but after that, he would take Angle out.

In the back, Jim Cornette announces that at Victory Road, Christian Cage will face Chris Harris and James Storm will go up against Rhino. He also says that he will have an announcement about the Ultimate X match at Victory Road on the next edition of Impact. Christian Cage came out to talk about how he produces ratings. Jim Cornette came out to stop Cage, saying that Chris Harris would be the guy who breaks the glass ceiling in TNA. Cage goes on to say that Abyss isn't after him, but when Abyss' music hit, Cage hit the bricks.

They showed a sit down interview Mike Tenay conducted with Rhino where he said that his father's drinking was a problem for him and it led him to do things. He said that he relived what he went through when he was spit on by James Storm and said that he would take him out.

Match Two - Three Way Dance - Ms. Brooks vs. Gail Kim vs. Jackie Moore

Gail Kim was the target until Moore and Brooks both decided that they wanted Kim for themselves. Moore and Brooks went at it as Kim gathered her bearings and hit a top rope crossbody to take them all out. Back from a commercial break, with Brooks and Moore in control of Kim. After some more back and forth combat, Moore rolled up Kim, only for Kim to roll through and pick up the win. Afterwards, Moore attacked Kim, Eric Young came out for the save, but was jumped from behind by Robert Roode.

Winner Via Pinfall - Gail Kim

Jeremy Borash was in the basement with Sting who said that Abyss was missing something and that he had something to say on the next edition of Impact. Borash questioned Sting as they found Abyss in Sting's facepaint. Abyss screamed as we were sent into another commercial break.

Back from the commercial break, with Kurt Angle entering the Impact Zone carrying the TNA Heavyweight and IWGP Heavyweight Championships. Angle says that TNA now stands for "Total Nonstop Angle." He continues to self promote himself as Team 3D comes out. Brother Ray says that the "A" stands for "Action." They jawjack a bit and eventually come to blows. Team 3D gets a table and sets it up, but Samoa Joe comes out and saves Angle. Angle then snuck up from behind and hit the Olympic Slam on Joe through the table as the Impact Recap played and Impact came to an end.

Chris Sokol is from Long Island, NY and wants to send a special shout out to Legends of the Ring Promoter, Terrance Brennan and his wife on the birth of their new baby girl, Emily Karen Brennan. Congratulations!
