Trinity released by WWE
ECW Diva latest cut
By SLAM! Wrestling Staff

WWE made it's first roster cut in a couple weeks, as Trinity was released by the company on Friday.

The ECW Diva's release was formally announced on wwe.com, in a message that stated that the company, "has come to terms on the release of ECW Diva Trinity. We wish her the best in all future endeavors."

During her short WWE tenure, which began shortly after the premier of ECW on Sci Fi following the 2006 edition of One Night Stand, Trinity, real name Stephanie Finochio, was most often seen as a member of the Full Blooded Italians, where she earned the nickname of the "Full Bodied Italian". Though she appeared early on the show, as well as in cross-brand contests such as an ECW poker tournament and other such non-wrestling competitions, she had not been seen on WWE TV in several weeks, either solo or with fellow FBI'er Little Guido (aka Nunzio).

Part of her tenure with WWE, which lasted just over a year, was also spent on the injury list.

Trinity first gained attention on the national wrestling stage with TNA, but the female wrestler, who became a favourite due to her risk-taking style, was destined for the Fed.

Trinity is the second ECW Diva to be released in recent weeks, following the departure of Ariel.
