Impact: Last stop before Sacrifice
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Sacrifice is right around the corner, which means we are in store for one action-packed Impact. This is TNA's last opportunity to cram evrything in before the PPV which could translate into a decent episode or a complete cluster. Regardless, a six-man tag and a whole bunch of hype highlight this edition to Impact, the last stop to Sacrifice!

The show began with a recap of the last edition of Impact as well as some hype for this episode, leading to...

Match One - Scott Steiner vs. Homicide w/ LAX vs. Brother Devon w/ Brother Ray

Good way to build up a little more to the three-way tag for the titles. All the teams eventually got involved, with Steiner and Brother Ray battling on the outside, Machete distracting the ref and Hernandez hitting the Border Toss on Brother Devon to give Homicide the win.

Winner Via Pinfall - Homicide

They hyped the Road to Sacrifice show that will be airing this Saturday as well as the card for Sacrifice. Jeremy Borash was in the back waiting for Christy Hemme when Scott Steiner ran in and yelled about Tomko and Christian Cage not having his back like his brother would. Steiners vs. Cage and Tomko? Christy Hemme catches up with Jeremy Borash and says that her new team will be at Sacrifice. VKM walked in and busted her chops. She told them she was going to the ring to make the big announcement and they could join her if they wanted. Back from commercial break, with Christy Hemme and VKM in the ring. From behind the Basham Brothers attacked VKM and beat them down. Hemme berated them until Lance Hoyt ran in for the save. The Bashams are now known as The "Damaja" and "Basham." A recap was shown that detailed the transformation of Jeff Jarrett. Back from another commercial break with Mr. Backlund calling out Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley for stealing his book. Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Kevin Nash got some mic time. Lethal talked, but when Dutt wanted to say something, he was denied.

Match Two - Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley vs. "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt

Really good tag team match here, with Sabin and Shelley showing some good tag skills. The end came when Dutt hit the Sliced Bread Number Two, Lethal went for the Elbow Drop, but Dutt pulled Sabin up so that Lethal wouldn't get the win. This led to Dutt getting double teamed and laid out for the pinfall victory. Afterwards Mr. Backlund ran down and went crazy on Sabin and Shelley, sending them to the back as Dutt walked off on Lethal.

Winners Via Pinfall - Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley

In the back, Jeremy Borash conducted a three-way interview with Christian Cage, Sting and Kurt Angle. Christopher Daniels was talking to Sting, but was pushed away. All three were in different locations. Sting and Angle argued while Cage egged them on. Pretty funny stuff.

Match Three - Six-Man Tag Team Match - Chris Harris, Rhino and Samoa Joe w/ Gail Kim vs. James Storm, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels

Solid main event that got a lot across. Tons of back and forth action, with Harris and Storm going at it, Joe and Styles brawling and Daniels and Rhino doing a little battle of their own. Harris prevented Storm from using the beer bottle. He went to use it himself, but was stopped by Rudy Charles. This took Harris off his game and allowed Storm to roll him up from behind and hook the tights for the win. Afterwards Harris and Storm fought all over the Impact Zone. Sting and Angle came out of the tunnel fighting as security tried to break them up. Christian Cage came out and said to let them fight.

Winners Via Pinfall - James Storm, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels

A hype video was shown for Sacrifice as Impact came to an end.

Chris Sokol is from Long Island, NY and will be covering Sacrifice for SLAM! Wrestling.
