Impact: Final hype for Destination X
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Destination X is right around the corner, however, if you look at the card, the show should actually be entitled "Stipulation X." Between the Last Rites match, the Lumberjack match and the Elevation X match, the TNA creative department has been working overtime, but fear not, they weren't too tired to pass the opportunity to throw a few more gimmick matches in the mix. So without further delay, sit back, relax and enjoy the Adrenaline Rush.

The show began with the typical recap, including the shocking defeat of Samoa Joe by Tomko. In the ring, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle were pumping up the Impact Zone. Angle said that he and Joe aren't the best of friends, but they could stand one another. Kurt Angle said that he couldn't stand Scott Steiner and that he wanted a piece of him. Christian Cage, Scott Steiner and Tomko came out, laying down the gauntlet for a six-man tag team match for later on. Joe and Angle accepted and said they would find a partner.

Mike Tenay hyped up the show, leading to...

Match One - Lance Hoyt and The VKM (BG and Kip James) vs. Serotonin (Kaz, Martyr and Havoc)

Kaz = Kazarian, Martyr = Matt Bentley and Havoc = Johnny Devine. The results of this one were obvious from the get-go. Lance Hoyt and VKM take out Serotonin rather easy, resulting in another caning from Raven for Serotonin.

Winners Via Pinfall - Lance Hoyt and The VKM (BG and Kip James)

In the back, Jeremy Borash caught up with the Christian Coalition. Christian told Borash that he needed to find Abyss and make sure they were on the same page. He asked Scott Steiner to come with him, but Steiner blew him off. He asked Tomko, but Tomko said he had to give him a title shot first. With no one else left, Cage grabbed Borash and said that they were going to do it together.

The Elevation X match between "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and "The War Machine" Rhino was hyped.

Mike Tenay, Jeremy Borash, Leticia and So Cal Val stood in the ring and introduced the newest member of TNA, Hector Guerrero. Hector came out and said how humbled he was. He accepted an award from TNA, but "The Monster" Abyss came out and took it. He then proceeded to hit the Black Hole Slam on So Cal Val before storming off.

Christian Cage and Samoa Joe were shown talking about their upcoming title match at Destination X.

They replayed the awesome Black Hole Slam Abyss gave So Cal Val. It really looked devastating.

In Jim Cornette's office, James Storm, Miss Jackie, Bob Backlund, Chris Sabin and Christy Hemme were all screaming at Jim Cornette. Cornette caved in to all the demands and set up the following matches for Destination X: James Storm and Miss Jackie vs. Petey Williams and Gail Kim in a Double Bullrope Match. Chris Sabin vs. Jerry Lynn for the X Division Championship in a two out of three falls match. Bob Backlund wanted to guest referee Senshi vs. Austin Starr, but Cornette denied him, instead saying that to win the match, one of them had to get the other to submit to the Crossface Chicken Wing. Finally, Cornette gave Christy Hemme the opportunity to have a Mystery team of her choosing take on VKM. Wow.

Match Two - James Storm, Robert Roode and Eric Young w/ Ms. Brooks and Miss Jackie vs. Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Petey Williams

Lethal did the Randy Savage impression again. More issues between Robert Roode and Eric Young were shown. This was another obvious one to predict. The match ultimately broke down with Storm hitting a superkick on Dutt for the win. Afterwards, Gail Kim and Miss Jackie brawled.

Winners Via Pinfall - James Storm, Robert Roode and Eric Young

In the back, Jeremy Borash and Christian Cage found Abyss. Cage tried to level out with Abyss and get on the same page. Cage said that he brought Abyss a peace offering and threw Borash to him. Abyss picked Borash up and tossed him into a wall and then into his cage.

The Team 3D/LAX situation was recapped, with Team 3D challenging LAX to a ghetto brawl.

Tenay and West ran down the Destination X card.

The Last Rites match between Abyss and Sting was hyped. The Christian Coalition was shown on their way into the Impact Zone. Back from the commercial break, Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle made their way out with their mystery partner, "The War Machine" Rhino. Leading to...

Match Three - The Christian Coalition (Christian Cage, Tomko and Scott Steiner) vs. Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle and "The War Machine" Rhino

Great main event leading into Destination X. Tons of back and forth action here. AJ Styles interfered at one point, and was chased up the Elevation X structure by Rhino. On the way down, Rhino was met by the Christian Coalition and beaten down. Steiner put Angle in the Steiner Recliener, but Angle fought out and hit the Olympic Slam. Abyss came out and went at it with Angle, eventually hitting the Black Hole Slam. The lights went out and Sting appeared by one of the TNA Trons. They went out again and when they came back on, he was by the other side. They went out one final time and came back on and he was in the ring behind Abyss. A brawl ensued as the Destination X hype video was shown.

Winners - No Contest
