Maria makes her Cyber Sunday picks

Maria Kanellis doesn't have a match at the Cyber Sunday pay-per-view tomorrow night.

The WWE diva (known to wrestling fans simply as Maria) was knocked out of the tournament for the vacant women's championship last week, leaving Mickie James and Lita to fight for the title at the PPV.

But Maria still has a chance to get on the show, and the power to make it happen lies in your hands.

Cyber Sunday is WWE's annual super show in which fans cast online votes to decide the final line-up for the event.

Earlier this week, Maria sat down with the Calgary Sun to let us in on her personal picks for the PPV, starting with her plan to vote herself back onto the card.

"Fans can choose the stipulation for the women's title match and I'm voting to make it a lumberjack match," Maria said, referring to a gimmick which puts a bevy of WWE vixens outside the ring as special enforcers.

"I definitely want to be out there as a lumberjack because I still want to be involved in the match, even though I didn't make it to the finals."

Maria also cast her vote for the Cyber Sunday main event -- a Champion of Champions match in which the title holders from all three WWE brands face off to determine the wrestling's ultimate kingpin.

The online ballot will decide which title is actually on the line, but Maria wants The Big Show to be the one defending the gold.

"I would love to see the ECW title change hands," she said. "It would be a great opportunity for ECW wrestlers to try to get that title back. I think the more involved ECW can be, the better."

When it came time to choose a challenger for Umanga, Maria sided with ECW again, picking The Sandman over Kane and Chris Benoit.

Which begged the question of whether her affinity for ECW could be because CM Punk (her real-life boyfriend) is an ECW wrestler?

"Yeah, maybe there's a romantic reason behind it," she said with a laugh. "Me and Punk have been dating for almost a year now. I try not to intrude on what he does, but it definitely makes me high on ECW."

There's no ECW option in the legends match, though, when fans will vote on a tag team partner for Ric Flair to go up against the Spirit Squad.

"My vote is for Rowdy Roddy Piper," Maria said without hesitation. "I loved watching Piper's Pit when I was younger. He was part of the inspiration for me wanting to become an interviewer."

For the DX vs. Edge and Randy Orton match, Maria is giving Eric Bischoff her nomination to be the guest referee. "I miss seeing him around the locker room," she said. "I like his character, I like his personality and I think Eric will be the most honest referee. I mean, Vince McMahon as ref? Come on now."

Maria also plans on voting for Carlito as a challenger for the Intercontinental title -- because "he's fun and reminds me of a young fraternity boy," -- and wants to see the tag titles defended in a Texas Tornado match.

Cyber Sunday goes out live on pay-per-view at 6 p.m. CT tomorrow, and votes can be cast at wwe.com up until the opening bell.
