ECW: DX survives the Big Show
By JESSIE LINDSEY - For SLAM! Wrestling

DX arrives at the arena. Shawn Michaels asks, "Do you think this is the place?" Triple H looks over at a guy in an ECW T-shirt and replies "Bingo!" Funny!

Match #1 - Sabu & RVD v. Test & Mike Knox w/ Kelly Kelly

Sabu and Knox lock up with Knox on offense. Sabu regains control with a clothesline off the top rope, tag to RVD. Tag also with Test, who catches RVD in the corner with a running clothesline. Test goes to the other corner, preparing to hit the same move again, but RVD lands a running spin kick. The momentum sends RVD to the outside, looks like he hits his head on the apron on the way down. RVD and Sabu are quick to recover and land a rolling thunder/ somersault splash double team on Test. Test is back on his feet, but is quickly brought down again by a double springboard leg lariat by the ECW originals. Knox re-enters the fight and takes down RVD. Knox disappears to the outside to set up a table as Test presses Sabu overhead. Looks like Sabu is going to be press slammed through the table, but RVD is there for the save with a top rope kick straight to the face of Test. The impact looked sick in slow motion! RVD with a pin, two count only. RVD and Knox fight on the apron. Test soon finds his way to the apron to help his partner. Sabu comes off the ropes and springboards off a chair and hits all three men with a cross body that send everyone through the table Knox had set up. ECW ECW ECW ECW!! Test and Sabu are the first ones back in the ring. Sabu goes for the triple jump moonsault, but Test has the move well scouted and sends Sabu face first into the steel chair. Before Test can capitalize, RVD throws the chair right into his face. Test stumbles to the corner and collapses. RVD with a baseball slide with the chair into Test. RVD goes for the 5-star, but Knox hits him in the back with a chair. Knox with a superplex on RVD. Pinning attempt, but Sabu breaks it up and applies the camel clutch. RVD with a baseball slide dropkick with the chair to Knox who is still in the camel clutch. Test is back in the ring and fights with Sabu. Air Sabu in the corner on test followed by the triple jump moonsault, two count only says the ref. Knox is back vertical, but a chair to the face introduces him to the horizontal across a table in the ring. Simultaneous leg drop from the top/ 5-star frog splash through the table! ECW ECW ECW ECW!!

Winners: RVD & Sabu

Kevin Thorne and Arial are in the back reading tarot cards. She predicts something sexual later on tonight.

Matt Striker has a promo in the ring dogging the Sandman. During the promo he says that you'll never catch him swimming with dangerous stingrays, making reference to the late Steve Irwin (whom I am a fan of). This brought about a monster chorus of BOOS form the Columbus, GA crowd (and rightfully so). The Sandman eventually comes down and runs him off, thus teasing a feud between the two.

Match #2 Balls Mahoney v. Steven Richards

Before the match Kevin Thorne and Arial (Lord have mercy she's hot!) come to ringside and mess with Joey Styles.

The match itself is basic punch/kick. Balls hit a sweet flying back elbow before Thorne interferes allowing Steven Richards to pick up the win. Short match.

Winner: Steven Richards

The Reject Shannon Moore is giving a promo but CM Punk cuts him off and calls him a poser. Punk then slaps The Prince of Punk. Moore looks like he might cry.

Big Show and Heyman are in the ring. Heyman says that his conscience will not allow him to subject DX to the violence that is ECW, therefore the match will not be under extreme rules. Good crowd pop for DX.

Match #2 - DX vs Big Show

The match gets underway with both men trying to take Show off his feet. It finally happens when Show is about to throw HBK, but a boot from The Game allows Michaels to reverse into a DDT. Show quickly regains the offensive, but misses a couple of big elbow attempts. Realizing that his hand-picked champion is in trouble, Heyman orders the security guards to attack. They incapacitate Triple H and Show begins to work over Michaels. Triple H recovers and gets the upper hand on the Big Show with a spine buster. As he's setting up the pedigree Hardcore Holly makes a run in and draws the DQ against Show.

Winners: DX by DQ

After the match Show, Holly, and the security guards attack DX. Triple H finds a sledgehammer under the ring and bashes the security guards as Show and Holly head to the back. Good night from Columbus, ladies and gentlemen.
