This mat warrior clearly isn't in a Funk
By TIM BAINES - Ottawa Sun

Say what you want about Terry Funk. Let's face it, the guy looks like he can hardly move.

But if I was inebriated enough to pick a fight with a wrestler, Funk would be among the last on my list.

Funk's just enough Middle Age Crazy that I wouldn't be messing with him, as brittle as he may seem.

That he appeared on RAW as part of the hype for ECW was a good thing.

I suppose you could say it's sad that The Funkster is still dragging his ravaged body into the wrestling ring. I don't look at it that way. Funk is a warrior, a throwback who may not be the face of ECW, but he'll be the beat-up carcass who just keeps taking punishment and coming back for more.

- Here are the results from TNA's Sacrifice pay-per-view last Sunday: Jushin "Thunder" Liger beat Petey Williams; America's Most Wanted beat AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels; Raven beat A1; Bobby Roode beat Rhino; The James Gang beat Team 3D; Team Canada's Petey Williams beat Puma in a gauntlet match to tie Team USA at five points in the World X Cup Tournament; Sting and Samoa Joe beat Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner; and Christian Cage beat Abyss in a Full Metal Mayhem match. Samoa Joe, who is becoming a franchise player for TNA, has injured his knee. Joe is expected to cut down his indy bookings, but may maintain his TNA time.

- Leggy Stacy Keibler placed fifth on Maxim's Hot 100 list, behind (in order) Eva Longoria, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and Angelina Jolie.

- Here's the card for tonight's WWE Judgment Day pay-per-view from Phoenix: Rey Mysterio vs. JBL; Booker T vs. Lashley; MNM vs. Paul London and Brian Kendrick; The Undertaker vs. The Great Khali; Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry; Chris Benoit vs. Finlay; Gregory Helms vs. Super Crazy; and Melina vs. Jillian Hall.

- Monday Night RAW will be delayed a bit on TSN this week. A hockey game will probably push the start back to a bit past 10 p.m.

- A couple of big shows for UWA, with Jake "The Snake" Roberts headlining both the May 26 Friday Night Fight at the Strathcona Paper Centre in Napanee and the May 27 Spring Mayhem at the Brockville Memorial Centre.

- CPW has its next event May 27 at 7 p.m. at the St-Jean-Bosco school in Hull. Matches include: The Freak Zakk Manson vs. Velvet Jones; Moonlight vs. Misty Haven; Adrenaline Rush (Samson and Jimmy Stone); vs. Reality Check (Don Paysan and Alex Price); MVP Micheal Von Payton vs. Pistola; and Frank "The Beast" Bradley vs. Stupefied.
