WWE 24/7 makes deal with Cogeco
By GREG OLIVER - Producer, SLAM! Wrestling

There's a little more WWE available in Canada thanks to a new deal between Cogeco Cable and the WWE 24/7 station.

The agreement, announced yesterday, clears the way for WWE 24/7 to be available now to Cogeco Cable digital subscribers in Ontario (on channel 247), and soon to Cogeco Cable subscribers in Quebec.

It's only the second deal WWE 24/7 has made with Canadian cable providers, following last summer's deal with Rogers Cable.

"WWE 24/7 is exclusive to Digital Cable and we're delighted to include it as part of our exciting Cogeco On Demand line-up, as we know some of our customers are WWE fans and have been waiting for this launch," said Ron Perrotta, Cogeco's VP of Marketing in a press release. "We are committed to offering our customers the TV experience they are looking for. With Cogeco On Demand, they can play, pause, stop, fast forward or replay some of the best moments in wrestling history. Video On Demand services prove once more how Digital Cable is the most advanced, interactive, and convenient technology available today for Canadian television subscribers."

Cogeco Cable is the second largest cable operator in both Ontario and Québec, and ranks fourth in Canada in terms of the number of basic cable service customers served.
