Buffalo Hardcore Homecoming show cancelled

Organizers have confirmed that the Hardcore Homecoming show originally
scheduled for this Sunday in Buffalo has been postponed. Shane Douglas
notified SLAM! Wrestling of the decision this afternoon and made the
following statement:
"It is with great regret that we are announcing that the Buffalo show will
be postponed. It is disappointing that due ongoing legal wranglings, we will
not be able to put on the event at this time. We will continue to work with
our lawyers to have these matters resolved, including possibly taking legal
action in the future if (these obstacles continue)."
Clarifying an earlier comment made to SLAM! Wrestling, Douglas wants to
assure the fans that this decision was absolutely not driven by slow ticket
sales, nor was there any expectation that the show would not be financially
successful. Rather, pressures from the New York State Athletic Commission on
the organizers, and concerns of the Burt Flickinger Center, the venue where
the event was scheduled, were the factors that ultimately led to the
postponement.
"Based on the advance numbers," he said, "expenses for the show were already
cleared, and the show was already profitable. Buffalo is a great city for
walk-in business as well, so we had no doubts that the fans would have been
there, and no doubts that we would have been able to put on a great show."
Here's the announcement from www.hardcorehomecoming.com:
You've all probably read or have heard about the legal issues we have been
dealing with the in the last few weeks. From malicious calls to buildings,
to the nearly successful attempt at blocking our Hardcore Homecoming
Platinum Edition DVD in retail outlets nationwide (which as of last word is
due to hit stores this week, but that too may change), we have been fighting
an uphill battle against people who simply do not want to see these shows
happen, even with the involvement of the American Red Cross. Our legal team
has advised us to immediately cancel the Buffalo show scheduled for Sunday
as it would put us at an incredible, yet unrealistic risk. We will work to
reschedule this event and run a Hardcore Homecoming show in the state of New
York when our attorneys can give us the green light to move forward. While
we feel like the victims of a legal sabotage, the true victims are the fans
of the very legacy we have fought to preserve. We will fight as long as we
can and ask for your support. We will keep you posted.
All fans who bought tickets to the Buffalo event should check
