The Score to keep Smackdown on Thursdays
By SLAM! Wrestling Staff

Canadians used to watching Smackdown! Thursdays on The Score are just going to have to adjust their schedules an hour rather than a whole day.

Instead than moving the WWE pre-taped show to Friday nights to synch up with the U.S. broadcast of Smackdown! on UPN, starting September 9, The Score is keeping it on Thursday nights.

Starting September 1st, Smackdown! will remain on Thursdays, but moves to 8pm ET and 12am ET, an hour later than it currently airs.

"We have built a strong following on Thursday nights and we never had any intention to move the show," said Anthony Cicione, vice-president, programming at The Score. "Now the show debuts in Canada a full day before you can see it anywhere else."

WWE typically tapes Smackdown! on Tuesday nights.
