WWE announces trade to finish draft lottery
By JON WALDMAN -- SLAM! Wrestling
The WWE Draft Lottery concluded Thursday night with the announcement of an 11-person trade between the Raw and Smackdown brands. As announced on wwe.com, William Regal, Candice Michelle, Sylvain Grenier, Simon Dean and Steven Richards are headed to Smackdown, while Chavo Guererro Jr., Mark Jindrak, Rene Dupree, Danny Basham, Kenzo Suzuki and Hiroko will now be part of the Raw roster. The trade spells the end of two successful WWE tag teams. Danny Basham had held the WWE Tag Team championships with his on-screen bother, Doug Basham, on two occasions, while Grenier had been a multi-time World Tag Team champ with Rob Conway as La Resistance. Dupree's return to Raw, however, could mean a reformation, as he was a member of the French group prior to being drafted to Smackdown last year. Jindrak was also drafted to Smackdown last year. The last wrestler to appear on either show was Guererro, who now joins other former WWE Cruiserweight Champions Tajiri and Hurricane on Raw. Guererro battled current Cruiserweight champ Paul London tonight on Smackdown. Earlier this week, Candice Michelle made a brief appearance on Raw. 2005 WWE Draft Lottery Moves
