ECW reunion shows picking up steam
By JASON CLEVETT -- SLAM! Wrestling

With two weeks to go until the "Hardcore Homecoming" reunion at the ECW arena in Philadelphia and the "ECW One Night Stand" at the Hammerstien Ballroom in New York City, things are taking shape for what promises to be two stellar shows.

Hardcore Homecoming on June 10, promoted by Shane Douglas and Jeremy Borash, will feature a number of TNA wrestlers who made their living in the ECW promotion. The event will be headlined by a rematch of the legendary three-way dance between Shane Douglas, Terry Funk and Sabu. Other matches announced are Jerry Lynn vs. Justin Credible, Raven vs. The Sandman and Kid Kash vs. CW Anderson. Also scheduled for the event are 2 Cold Scorpio, Francine, Pitbull Gary Wolfe, Axl Rotten, Bill Alfonso, Don "Cyrus" Callis, Joel Gertner, Tommy Rich, Tracy Smothers, Roadkill, Danny Doring, Chris Chetti, JT Smith, Mikey Whipwreck and the Eliminators, Perry Saturn and John Kronus.

Two nights later, the WWE's ECW reunion will take place on pay-per-view. While some of the build for the event has been criticized, the first five matches promise to make the event a must-see. Announced on the One Night Stand website is Chris Jericho vs. Lance Storm (with Dawn Marie), Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Psychosis, Super Crazy vs. Tajiri (with the Sinister Minister) vs. Little Guido, Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman vs. The Dudley Boyz and Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero.

Also scheduled to appear will be Paul Heyman, Rob Van Dam, Bill Alfonso, Tazz, Spike Dudley, Al Snow, Sabu, Balls Mahoney, Danny Doring and Roadkill, CW Anderson, Rhyno, Joel Gertner, Axl Rotten, Justin Credible, Kid Kash, Masato Tanaka, Mikey Whipwreck and The bWo (Big Stevie Cool, Hollywood Nova and The Blue Guy, aka. Steven Richards, Simon Dean and The Blue Meanie respectively).

Wrestling fans in the northeast area will have additional events to attend that weekend, as Combat Zone Wrestling will have a card ECW Arena on June 11th while Ring of Honor is having a matinee event at the Supper Club in New York City on June 12th.
