Impact: A Pit Stop before PPV
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

We are only two days away from TNA Against All Odds and things are looking up. An interesting card top to bottom, Against All Odds will definitely be worth the money you pay to see it. But before we trudge along, let's take a look at this week's TNA Impact show.

We start off with a recap of NWA champ Jeff Jarrett attempting to attack his challenger Kevin Nash, only for Nash to move out of the way and hunt him down later that night. Maybe Nash was going to ask him why he has getting a title shot this Sunday?

Mike Tenay and Don West send it over to Dusty Rhodes who informs us that if Jarrett uses his guitar, he will be DQ'ed and the title will change hands. DON'T USE THE GUITAR! PLEASE!

MATCH ONE- "Hotshot" Johnny Devine w/"Showtime" Eric Young and Coach Scott D'Amore vs Sonny Siaki

Siaki comes out of the blocks with those fists of fury, but Devine comes back thanks to some Eric Young interference. Siaki is put on the defensive, as Devine beats on him and taunts the crowd. Knees to the mid-section after an attempted springboard moonsault catch Devine off guard, and Siaki goes back to work. However, a roll up with feet on the ropes gets Devine the big V.
Winner via Pinfall- "Hotshot" Johnny Devine

They then show a video package of TNA at the Super Bowl. Good to see Monty Brown learned how to use a mic -- he's getting better by the day.

Monty Brown is standing by with Shane Douglas, who asks about his match at Against All Odds. Brown talks about Jarrett, Scott Hall and Bobby Roode, claiming to take them all out. He goes on to say that at Against All Odds, Roode or Hall would be taken out with the POOOOOUNCE!

MATCH TWO- "No Gimmicks Needed" Chris Candido vs Diamond Dallas Page

The match starts out with the customary feeling out process, DDP fires a boot to the face of Candido, only for Candido to come back with a knee to the DDP's jewels. Candido goes to the top rope, but is stopped by DDP and given the Diamond Cutter.
Winner via Pinfall- Diamond Dallas Page
POST MATCH- Coach Scott D'Amore and Bobby Roode come out to pump up the tag match at Against All Odds. DDP calls out Roode, but the rest of Team Canada comes out, as they are about to hit the ring, Monty Brown comes out and keeps them at bay.

We go to a recap of the Jeff Hardy/Abyss feud, whose match should be a damn good one if you ask me.

We follow up with a promo for the new guy coming to TNA. NICE!

MATCH THREE- David Young w/ Frankie "The Future" Kazarian and Michael Shane vs Jeff Hammond w/ 3 Live Kru

I like TNA, but a Nash title shot and Jeff Hammond wrestling, give me a break, or shall I say a pit stop. Young comes at Hammond with some stiff punches to the face, Hammond fights back with a spear. Shane and Kazarian interfere, then 3 Live Kru interfere -- all this interference makes me dizzy. Young is down. Hammond acts like a car driving around the ring and then drops the elbow, a move now known as "The Pit Stop". Is Russo writing again? Hammond picks up a victory as David Horrowitz loses again.
Winner via Pinfall- Jeff Hammond
POST MATCH- A brawl ensues, which results in Hammond being laid out in the ring.

We meet up with Dusty Rhodes, who is approached by Traci regarding where he's been. Trinity hops out of the back of his truck and gives him a kiss on the cheek. Traci is upset and tells Rhodes to wipe that crap off his face, Dusty replies "Did I miss something?"

AJ Styles comes out to join the commentary team, and Christopher Daniels follows him out, bashing Styles and slapping him in the face. Styles jumps over the table and takes it to Daniels, leading to security coming in to break things up.

MATCH FOUR- Shark Boy vs Chris Sabin vs "Primetime" Elix Skipper

Tenay announces that at the March PPV, it will be Ultimate X 3, with four men involved this time. If it's half as good as the Final Resolution match, it will be a tremendous. Any how, the match starts off with all three men going at, Shark Boy and Skipper go back and forth, until Sabin comes in and hits them both with a huge dropkick. Sabin is hit with the Deep Sea Drop by Shark Boy, Shark Boy goes for the cover, but is sent out of the ring to the floor by Skipper, who picks up the scraps for the pin.
Winner via Pinfall- "Primetime" Elix Skipper

A recap airs of the Christopher Daniels/AJ Styles feud.

We are taken to video shot earlier in the day, with Tenay speaking with Kevin Nash and Jeff Jarrett via a satellite. Nash and Jarrett both play their points to Tenay and both men say that they are ready for Against All Odds.

We go back to another video package of the Christopher Daniels/AJ Styles feud. This match has all the makings for Match of the Night.

MATCH FIVE- Kid Kash, Lance Hoyt and Raven vs Dustin Rhodes and America's Most Wanted

Storm and Kash kick the match off, with both men going back and forth. We come back from a commercial break, and Kash is going to town on "Wildcat" Chris Harris. Raven is tagged in, and he beats on Harris, until Kash is tagged back in. Kash misses a Frog Splash. Raven in, Rhodes in, and Rhodes cleans house. Evenflow DDT attempted, but it is reversed and Rhodes picks up the win via the Bulldog.
Winners via Pinfall- Dustin Rhodes and America's Most Wanted

We close out the show with a series of promos hyping NWA TNA Against All Odds, which is this Sunday, live on PPV!

TNA Impact has transformed into a very entertaining show, and the PPV product has picked up too. TNA is on a roll, and doesn't appear to be slowing down. This Sunday's card looks to be top notch. Let me send it over now to my TNA colleague Mr. Jason Clevett, as he will cover TNA Against All Odds!
