Lex Luger arrested on DUI charge

Former WCW world champion Lex Luger has been arrested for drunken driving and other charges in Canton, Georgia.

Luger, whose real name is Lawrence Pfohl, was found by a Cobb County police officer slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle on the side of Interstate 575 on Monday morning, said Nicole Ebbeskotte of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. Pfohl woke up and drove away but the Cobb County officer called authorities in neighbouring Cherokee County for assistance.

Ebbeskotte said Pfohl, who lives in Marietta, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, driving on an expired tag, alteration of tag, no proof of insurance and open container.

Luger has had a troubled time since the closure of the WCW wrestling promotion, and was charged with possession of a controlled substance following the death of Miss Elizabeth Hulette in May 2003.
