SLAM! Roundtable: Readers give thanks
|

|
Now that everyone on the SLAM! Staff has had their time to digest their heaping
amounts of turkey, it's time to open the SLAM! mailbag for SLAM! Speaks - The
Readers Respond.
This past week we invited the loyal SLAM! readers to voice their thoughts on
our topic of what they are most thankful for in professional wrestling. Here's
what you had to say:
Marcus Van Boltenstern
I'm thankful that no one in wrestling has died this week. It's frightening that
the wrestling scene has had so many deaths in the past little while.
Joe Midgley
I'm thankful that Bret Hart has stood his ground by not returning to WWE. That
kind of character is inspirational.
I believe he has proven his integrity and to see him make some sort of return
in any capacity would make me tune in and watch WWE faithfully again. That would
be thankful times 10!
Kris Odjick
Thats an easy one. T & A!
In all seriousness, however, I am thankful for the McMahon Family. They took
a mediocre "sport" by the reins 20 years ago and turned it into something
I considered a religion for the longest part of my life. They took nobodys and
turned them into entertainment icons.
Although in recent years, the product has become pretty sad, that's the nature
of the business. So, until another Hogan, Bret, or Austin comes around, thanks
to the McMahons. Especially Stephanie, for making sure HHH wont jump ship anytime
soon........
