With no immediate possibility of an NHL hockey draft, the SLAM! group gathered around the table to talk about everyone's second favourite subject, roster moves in the WWE.
As we all know by now, Jamie Noble was recently let go by the Fed, while Viscera and Gangrel were brought in. While the latter moves are likely one-shot deals and not permanent positions, it still makes you wonder what exactly WWE is looking for to fill out their roster. With that in mind, the SLAM! staff offer up their opinions on who should come and go in WWE.

No one makes me change channels quicker than Coach. He's a bad announcer and
a worse personality. As for bringing someone in, I see the retro craze in the
sports world, and the WWE's pending 24/7 channel. Why not have a respected,
old-school announcer like Lance Russell, Bob Caudle or Les Thatcher (even Bobby Heenan)
host a segment with a clip and interview with a star from the past? Make it
at a regular time and I'll watch every week.

If I were WWE, I would fire Luther Reigns. No mic skills, no wrestling skills,
nothing. If this were Christmas, I'd have to buy him a clue and possibly some
talent. He doesn't bring anything to the table except size, and that won't get
him very far. To quote Mr. McMahon and Donald Trump, "you're fired!"
If I were WWE I would hire AJ Styles. I know it was attempted, but not at a
good time. Styles is a family man and thought of them first. He is "phenomenal"
and deserves a straight up contract.

While any wrestler losing his or her job is never a good thing, there are
a few places that you can trim the proverbial fat. My number one choice would
be Torrie Wilson. Wilson has not displayed any sort of developement in her character
or in-ring work since she came into wrestling in WCW, and her "value"
as eye-candy is no longer there. As for brigning in a personality, while some
may suggest a certain Ugandan Giant, I have to go with Sting, simply because
he has that big-name drawing power and is a more-than-decent worker.

If I had to cut one wrestler, maybe Albert. I mean, really would anyone miss him if he was cut? I can barely remember which roster he's a part of and no matter which show he's on, would it change one iota if he just suddenly wasn't there?
As for bringing one in, I'm gonna go out on a limb with Devon Storm (aka Crowbar). I remember him being pretty decent when he was with WCW and to be honest, one of my favourite storylines was his infatuation with Daphne (stands to reason, she'd have to come in as well). I realize we already have one romantically-inclined storyline (Kane-Lita...well, not TOO romantic!) but I think if they did a slow burn with Daphne-Storm, it could work.
Even without Daphne in tow, Storm would be a decent mid-carder they could kinda
groom for the next level, the way they did with John Cena.
