Impact: Let's hear it for the promo
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Fresh off the last weekly PPV, TNA comes to us from Orlando, FL with Impact. It's been pretty bad down there and I would like to personally, send my prayers out to those in the area who were affected by the various hurricanes, but TNA in the area can only mean things are going back to normal. Now, lets go right to the action as we kick off TNA Impact!

Promos for X Division and Jeff Jarrett's appearance on the program today. Whoo-Hoo the Champ is in the house.

Promo for NWA TNA Victory Road, live on Sunday, November 7 and only on PPV. With all the talk about Outsiders being brought in, I wonder if a certain Latino and his big friend will be tallying up some more for "The Good Guys". We'll just have to watch and see. Also a lot of clips of Hogan getting bashed in the head with a guitar--interesting as TNA is using footage of him for their promotional usage when WWE is doing the same for their Smackdown 5th Anniversary Show. Makes you think ... or maybe it doesn't.

Match One- Team Canada w/ Coach Scott D'Amore vs Team Mexico

Six way brawl starts this one off. Agula does some flips and Team Mexico cleans the ring. Williams and Negro go at it, Williams on top of Negro, roll up for the two count. Agula comes in and Williams kicks him, but only for a two count. Bobby Roode comes in and punches Agula, shoulder block, back breaker and a head to the buckles later, and Agula is down. That doesn't stop the devious Scott D'Amore from choking the daylights out of Agula, who by this point wishes he would have stayed home. Agula is able to mount a comeback though, Williams is tagged in and goes to double team with Young, Agyla flips over their double clothesline attempt and hits a double clothesline on them. Negro is in and cleans house, Lionsault onto Roode, but he can only get a two as the count is broken up by Eric Young. Six way brawl ensues once again, Metal is now in and he goes after Scott D'Amore, powerslam by Roode on Heavy Metal, but only for a two. Metal comes back with a punch and a spin kick. Metal goes to the top rope, but is stopped when D'Amore hits him with a hockey stick. The Power Down by Bobby Roode on Heavy Metal for the One-Two-Three.

Winners Via Pinfall- Team Canada

After the match Team Canada beats on Team Mexico. Team Mexico's captain comes in and gets beaten on as well. Team Canada has some hot talent within its ranks.

A promo airs on the tag title situation. Pretty interesting thing we got going on here.

Promo for upcoming Kash/Dallas vs Red/Sabin Match.

Match Two- Kid Kash and Dallas vs Chris Sabin and The Amazing Red

Kash and Red lock it up, then go into a series of reversals while we go into a commercial break, ERRRRRR. We are back with red in control, tagging in Sabin. Double teaming on Kash and the a pin attempt which is broken up by Dallas. Dallas comes in and beats on Sabin, but when a pin attempt is made, he can only come up with a two count. Kash back in and Sabin goes to work on him. Kash then shifts the momentum back in his favor as he punches Sabin. That momentum won't carry for long as Red comes in and a four way brawl takes place. NWA TNA is just like one big bar fight huh? Clothesline on Sabin by Dallas, Red with a top rope takedown on Dallas. Red goes down hard and is then hit with a Frog Splash by the "Notorious K.I.D.", that splash will get him the pinfall victory.

Winners Via Pinfall- Kid Kash and Dallas

Monty "Goldberg" Brown promo airs. What is it with NFL Players going undefeated in wrestling. He acts like Goldberg and screams like Little Richard, "The PAAAAAAAOUNCE!". I can't wait till they starting playing "Monty" chants over the P.A. System and start knocking on his door before matches.

Another promo, hyping Jeff Jarrett's appearance on TNA Impact today.

Jeff Jarrett/Jeff Hardy/Vince Russo/Dusty Rhodes Promo. "Da Bull of da woods" gonna make sure Jeff Hardy gets his strap, "If ya weeeeeeeeeeell."

Match Three- Jeff Jarrett w/ The Elite Guard vs Lex Lovett

Ah, a squash match. Jarrett takes poor Lovett all around the ring, out to the floor, throws him into the crowd and proceeds to pound him like never before. Lovett does get in a few kicks, but nothing special. Lovett gets trapped and is given "The Stroke" by "The Champ". Lovett is down for the count and he ain't getting up.

Winner Via Pinfall- Jeff Jarrett

AJ Styles vs Alex Shelly Promo- NEXT ON IMPACT!

AJ Styles vs Petey Williams Promo- ANOTHER TIME!

Match Four- "Baby Bear" Alex Shelly w/Goldylocks vs "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles

We come back from commercial break and these two lock it up and exchange reversals. The two lock it up again in a power struggle. Monkey flip by Styles, hip toss. Knee drop and a dropkick on Shelly. Goldylocks tries to interfere. Shelly comes back with "The Eye of the Hurricane", no comment. Knee drop by Shelly. Styles comes back with punches. Overhead German Suplex on Shelly. Chops to Shelly, Styles with another knee drop and a reverse DDT. Counter Clash on Styles. Styles comes up spins around, roll up on Shelly and the pinfall.

Winner Via Pinfall- "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles

NWA TNA Promo to close the show.

Ah, no longer a weekly PPV to look forward ... or not look forward to. This coming Wednesday is The Best of the X Division PPV, the week after is The Best of the Heavyweights and after that, no more Wednesday night mayhem. No matter how bad it was at times, it's sad to see it go. TNA made the right move switching to a monthly PPV -- good luck boys and girls.
