TNA: Ultimate X marks co-champions
By JAYA ROOPANSINGH -- SLAM! Wrestling

This week's NWA features the third ever Ultimate X match as the main event. Plus, finally Jeff Hardy will compete in an NWA ring. He'll go one on with the Alpha male, Monty Brown for a shot at Jeff Jarrett's world title. Finally a wrestling show you can look forward to that features more then one good match.

The first match of the night is:

Team Canada's Petey Williams and Bobby Roode Vs America's Most Wanted, James Storm and Chris Harris.

Petey and Storm start things off. Williams slaps Storm across the face and he gets thrown out right out of the ring for it. He tosses Petey back in and treats him like a toy tossing him around the hexagon. Harris in, double team, twirling Williams around then throws him into Bobby Roode. Storm and Roode fighting, Storm to the ropes D'Amore gets him out on the floor then pummels him with a strap. Roode pulls him back in, Petey in with tag. Roode sends Storm to the ropes and ducks so that Williams gets the drop kick and a two count.

Storm into the buckles, Williams charges, Storm gets the boots up. Williams brushes it off and charges again. Storm throws him up and over. Williams lands on his feet on the second turnbuckle and then backflips off into sunset flip and another two count.

Storm fights through and drop kicks him. Battles out to Harris, a clothesline to William and keeps on running and nails another clothesline on Roode. Harris whips Williams in for a back body drop. Roode gets in again and receives another clothesline. Harris holds Williams in the air for a vertical suplex. Roode back in he throws Harris out. D'Amore hits the strap on Harris. Roode and Harris fight inside now. Roode manages to ground Harris in an arm bar submission, working on the injured left arm. D'Amore bolds Harris behind the referee stretching the arm. Williams in still working on the left arm. Roode back in for a double team. Storm gets frustrated and runs in to break up the cheating. He takes out Roode while Williams goes for the Canadian destroyer, Harris brings him up and down like a pancake.

Storm and Roode both get tag. Tiltawhirl on Roode. Scoop slam on Williams. One for Roode again. Two count on Roode but Williams breaks it. Ensiguri on Williams. Harris in and they do the Hart attack on Roode and get the pin. D'Amore gets up on the apron, Harris breaks the pin to get rid of D'Amore. Roode nails Harris from behind, goes for the bomb but Storm in with the superkick, Harris rolls over for the pin and the win.

D'Amore can't believe what just happened. He gets in and proceeds to beat on the AMW with the leather strap. AMW fights out and finally gets a chance to punish the coach. The rest of Team Canada come out and a 5 on 2 beating begins. The Fallen Angel and Prime Time of Triple X come out for the save.

Winners: America's Most Wanted

D-Ray 3000 & Sharkboy VS Abyss and Baby Bear w/ Goldilocks

D-Ray and Sharkboy win they get money. If Abyss and Baby Bear win, Goldilocks gets the contracts of D-Ray and Sharkboy.

This match has absolutely no purpose to it. D-Ray and Sharkboy are just jokes, as if we were still watching Doink the clown. That time is over and these wrestlers are going to go no where for as long as they pretend to be these characters.

D-Ray and Abyss start things off and as expected Abyss just manhandles him and for some reason has an obsession with his 'fro. Sharkboy tries to make a save and now he gets manhandled. After toying with them, Goldilocks tells him to tag in Baby Bear, Alex Shelley for the win. Shelley goes in to pin Sharkboy but Abyss took too long. Abyss is now sitting on the edge not even looking at the match. Lucky him! He could be and should be the monster of the NWA, much like Undertaker and Kane but instead he's doing this. D-Ray and Sharkboy manage to get some competition going with Baby Bear but Abyss gets right back in and demolishes all their hopes and pins D-Ray for the win. Abyss is left in the ring and as Goldilocks celebrates with Baby Bear on the ramp, Desire comes out and pummels her. Wasn't she gunning for Trinity? When did that end?

Winners: Abyss & Baby Bear

David Young VS Referee DK Posey

What, are you kidding me with this? NWA doesn't have enough talent pool that this match gets onto the card? Instead of seeing Desire and Trinity further their war we see this as better wrestling? NWA has fallen into the same patterns that eventually killed all momentum of the WCW and the WWE.

Posey chases Young around with a broom and whacks him good with it. Gilberti comes out and takes the broom away. Young makes Posey look like a rag doll. They exchange some moves that aren't worth mentioning. Posey gets the broom away from Gilberti and nails Young again. Gilberti grabs Posey. He drops the broom to go after Gilberti, who catches him, holds him and Young charges. Posey ducks out, Young puts on the breaks and Posey drop kicks him into Gilberti then rolls him up for the three count. The crowd chants loser along with Posey to Young. Gilberti comes in verbally abuses Young. He finally can't take it anymore and turns on NYC. Swinger comes out and they double team Young.

Winner: If you really care, Posey

Hudson has an interview with Goldilocks where she calls out Desire for a match, saying it was Georgie Watts that put her up to the attack. Desire comes out and accepts and just when you think NWA is stepping into the 21st century, Siaki comes out and a match is made between Siaki and Abyss instead of Goldi and Desire. On the other hand, what happened to Trinity and Desire? The men just settled the score?

Raven comes out to the ring dressed in the Sheik's clothes. He says that he's waited 16 years to beat Sabu and he's not waiting for Sabu's conditions. He wants him here right now. He says that Sabu's scared and he needs to convince him out of the dressing room. He puts the Sheik's clothes in a garbage can and puts lighter fluid on it. He goes to light the match but says that it's not enough. Sabu doesn't care about the Sheik enough to come out for this so he has to up the ante. He pulls out a body bag and in it is Sonjay Dutt. He puts Dutt in the garbage can and pours the fluid on him. He goes to light the match and the lights go out. Sabu is in the ring and they finally go at it. Referees pour into the ring trying to tear them apart. Sabu gets a chair shot on Raven and he falls out of the ring and exits.

Hudson's with the Naturals backstage. They say that AMW beat Triple X and they beat AMW so of course they're gonna beat Triple X tonight.

Pat Kenney comes out with none other than Trinity. He says that Vito is saying Italians get their women to their dirty work for them because they're too chicken to do it themselves. He challenges Vito to a luck of the Irish match next week and then pushes Trinity away. That's the end of her. Yeah, Jeff Jarrett, that looked much more interesting than a match with her and Desire. Wake up and get the women involved!!!

Tag Team Title Match

Triple X's Prime Time Elix Skipper and The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels VS The Naturals, Jay Stevens and Andy Douglas

Skipper and Stevens start things off. They get in some chops, back suplex and an arm bar submission. They roll out into a series of rolling pins. Reverse arm lock on Stevens, elbows out, spinning kick. Douglas in and out, Daniels knees Stevens and gets a two count. Stevens up again, Daniels gets another two. Douglas tagged in. He's off the ropes, Daniels puts him down. Skipper in, picks up Daniels and throws him on Douglas. Two count on Douglas. Kicks to the back. Another two count. Daniels back in. They double team and whips Douglas to the ropes. Daniels leapfrogs so that Skipper can get the clothesline. Daniels to the ropes, Stevens cheap shot, Daniels knocks him down and they double team Douglas. Another two count for Triple X. Stevens breaks it. Headbutt to Stevens, springboard split leg moonsault from Daniels, atomic drop, Skipper in, misses Douglas and hits Stevens. Douglas throws Skipper out on the floor. Skipper and Stevens get back in and Stevens rolls him up for a two count. Tag to Douglas. He has him in the corner. He stretches arms through the ropes for the full five count. Stevens gets in, they double team him in the corner of the Naturals, keeping him away from Daniels and keeping themselves fresh.

Douglas is one on one, hits the back breaker and a two count. Skipper trying to fight back, goes off the ropes, and gets a high knee. Daniels in, ref takes him out, Naturals use it for some more double team. Another two count by Stevens. Douglas in and controls Skipper, kicking and choking. Another tag to Stevens and they go for the natural disaster. Daniels finally gets in to break it up. Stevens gets a back breaker and a two count. Douglas tagged in. Arm bar submission, behind the ref's back, Stevens pulling on the arm for leverage. Skipper musters up enough strength to get a hard kick and a modified back suplex. Both tag their partners. Daniels gets drop kick on Douglas, taking out both members of the Naturals, goes for flip off the top rope. Two count. Douglas kicks, Skipper throws Douglas out. He distracts ref on outside. Skipper throws Stevens out, spring cross body. Douglas back in, goes for move on Daniels, but Daniels hits the ensiguri, calls for the Angel's wings. D'Amore out for the distraction, Stevens in, Natural Disaster on Daniels and the three count. Team Canada comes out for another 5 on 2 beating. AMW comes out and makes the save. Storm grabs the mic saying AMW is the best tag team and they're sick of Team Canada's and D'Amore's interference. Skipper grabs the mic and says he's sick of AMW claiming they're the best. Daniels tries to stop him and Storm says if Skipper has a problem why don't they settle it. Skipper says he'll settle it right now and pushes Storm.

Winners: Still Champions, The Naturals

Number one contender's match

Jeff Hardy VS Alpha Male, Monty Brown

Brown goes right in for the lock up but Hardy gets a waist lock. Reversal, Hardy slings Brown to the mat. He rolls out to the floor to catch a breather. They charge at each other but both stop short. They stare each other down. Hardy looks ridiculous. Monty turns around and then turns back again for a charge. Hardy sees it and grabs his leg for a double leg take down. Then he does a leg drop on him. Monty uses his strength to stop Hardy's momentum and throws him to the ropes, Hardy grabs Monty's neck for a DDT. Two count.

Brown gets double underarm suplex. grounds Hardy, charges and hits a hard kick. More punches, kicks and suplexes. Over and over again. Much confidence for someone that does three moves. He covers for a two count. More punches and yet another suplex. Ooooh new move, arm bar submission. Hardy now punches out of that and Brown puts the STF on him. So other than punches, kicks and suplexes he knows how to put on grounded submission moves that no one really ever taps out to. Hardy fights to the ropes after a minute of being in it. Alpha bomb, Hardy's trying to fight out, Brown throws him and Hardy locks his leg for a hurricarana. Brown charges, Hardy kicks him down instead, goes off the ropes and a two count.

Hardy goes up for cross body off the ropes, caught in mid air, Hardy Jumps on neck for another hurricarana but gets the bomb. Brown can't make the pin. They both get up at the same time. Monty sets up for the pounce, Hardy stuns him and goes to the top, Jarrett comes out with the guitar to hit Hardy, instead he pulls Brown out of the way. Brown doesn't want his help and pushes him into the rails. He gets back in for the pounce, Hardy side steps it and rolls him up for the win. Jarrett comes inside irate. He yells at Hardy and beats on him. Hardy gets the guitar and before he can smash it on Jarrett's head, Brown comes in and beats on him. Jarrett pulls Brown off and he beats on Hardy until 3 Live Krew comes out for the save. Dusty Rhodes enters and declares Jeff the number one contender. Earlier on, Jarrett remarked there might be something wrong with the contract. Vince Russo comes out and whispers something in Dusty's ear. He goes beserk and won't let Russo get a word in.

Winner and number 1 contender: Jeff Hardy

Backstage with Hudson, Russo is about to make an announcement but Dusty interrupts him and we can't get an explanation for what's going on. All we hear is Dusty saying, "I gave him my word, I gave that kid my word." We have to tune in next time to find out what that all meant.

Ultimate X #3

Wrestler must climb the steel polls, cross the X and get the X belt dangling in the middle.

Michael Shane VS Frankie Kazarian VS the Champion, AJ Styles

The question was if Shane and Kazarian could co-exist in this environment. Right off the bat they proved they could. They both go after Styles, Shane gets him down and signals Kazarian to go ahead and get the belt. Kazarian goes for it, Styles battles Shane down and then pulls Kazarian off the X-bar. Shane then goes for the belt, but Styles throws Kazarian into Shane knocking Shane off the X-bar. Styles now sees his opportunity to go for the belt. Shane cuts him off at the steel poles. Styles jumps over Shane and hits Kazarian as he's just getting up to his feet. He goes right after Shane again, Kazarian from behind, Styles gets sent to the ropes then head scissors Kazarian down to the mat. Styles again goes for the belt. Shane grabs his legs dangling from the X-bar and Styles hurricaranas him down. Styles goes back on top for the belt but Kazarian is there to stop him. Kazarian keeps pulling on Styles' legs so Styles pulls himself up over the bar, but Kazarian won't relent, he goes to the top and hits a drop kick right to the injured knee of Styles, who drops to the mat.

Kazarian and Shane work great as a team on Styles. Shane holds Styles up while Kazarian strikes him. They reverse positions to do it again, this time Styles ducks out and Shane nails Kazarian. He takes it personally and they argue as Traci gets up and tries to pull them back together. They see Styles coming, Shane ducks out, Kazarian side steps him, Styles to the ropes, back flip down, grabs Kazarian for the DDT, grabs Shane for the inverted DDT, and nails both at the same time. Kazarian up first series of clotheslines by Styles, kick to Shane. Styles digs down deep and throws Kazarian hard across the ring and over the ropes. Styles flies for suicide plancha. Styles up and back in the ring climbing up the steel pole structure. Shane cuts him off. Styles grabs Shane's head and bangs it into the steel. Styles gets on the X-bar and Shane starts swinging him back and forth till he lets go and flies down across the top rope and out to the floor. Shane goes for the head scissors but Styles catches him in a clash position but decides to do a little swinging of his own. He swings Shane's head into the steel rails and then into the steps. It looked like Shane was knocked right out. Traci starts screaming and runs over to help him up. Shane is busted wide open.

Styles goes up for belt, misses, Kazarian is on the X-bar and grabs the belt but Styles pulls him off before he could pull it off. Both go for cross body in the ring and collide. Kazarian has Styles off the ropes, Styles whips Kazarian, goes for leap frog, Kazarian puts on the breaks, Styles falls to the mat, Kazarian goes to pick him up, Styles reaches up with his legs and scissors him over. Shane gets up on the apron behind Kazarian. Styles goes for Kazarian, he ducks and Styles nails Shane back to the floor. Styles goes back up for the belt, Kazarian grabs his legs and powerbombs him down. Kazarian now goes up for the belts, only he's backwards. Styles comes on the X-bar and they're face to face hanging off the bar kicking each other. Kazarian wraps his legs around the bar, Styles kicks his back instead, Kazarian lets go and is hanging by his legs, Styles positions him for the clash and drops. Styles Clash from the top of the X-bar!!! Can you hear the OH MY GOD from Joey Styles echoing in your head?

Shane in the ring, Styles turns to him, has Shane swaying with lefts, goes for a spinning move, but Shane plants the superkick with last bit of energy he had. Shane manages to get up first, he goes for the belt and as he's touching them, Styles is back up and grabs Shane down then puts the clash on him. Styles goes back up for the belt and now Traci is in hanging off of Styles in the air doing everything she can to pull him off. He finally caves to her weight pulling him down and does a standing back kick on her. Styles AGAIN goes for the belt and now Kid Kash appears from nowhere. He's got one of Styles' old crutches and nails him from behind. Styles looks up and sees Kash and Dallas walking up the ramp with the broken crutch. Kazarian and Shane go for the belt and they both get it at the same time. They fight for it until it loosens and they both fall to the floor still holding onto it. Referee Andrew Thomas declares co-champions.

Winners: Michael Shane AND Frankie Kazarian
