TNA: Fans\' Revenge drags down show

TNA kicked off with Jeff Jarrett, with his crew of Callis & The Redshirts.
Take a wild guess at what the topic was. Hogan, Hogan, Hogan. It is so
great that twice now Jarrett vs. Styles has been buried by a match that
isn\'t even going to happen until next year. Eric Watts showed up, more blah
blah about bringing in people as of late. What a horrible, horrible
segment. Seriously, Watts made the worst jokes ever. Abyss attacked Watts,
beatdown occurred. Styles, Raven and AMW made the save.
Interview with Diamond, Swinger and Gilberti. Thatis right, more talking.
Has TNA suddenly become RAW?
Match 1: Kid Kash vs. Low-Ki
Finally the show had a match, nearly 20 minutes into the show. But my god
what a match to start! Christopher Daniels joined the commentators for the
match. Basic wrestling reversals started it off Low-Ki started kicking the
hell out of his opponent. Kash came back and grounded Ki, including a full
nelson while sitting on the back. An airplane spin brought back memories
for long time fans. Chops were traded before Ki locked on the Octopus.
When he went for a handspring, he jumped into Kash\'s legs, and then was hit
with a double-moonsault followed by a springboard hurricanrana. Ki blocked
the moneymaker, connected with the handspring kick, set up a top rope move,
and reversed a top rope powerbomb by Kash into an amazing \'rana! Daniels
and Ki had words, Daniels rolled Ki into the ring and Kash rolled him up
with a handful of tights. The match was excellent despite the weak finish.
Daniels and Low-Ki argued at ringside while Kash backed away, right into Don
Harris. Kash ran like a scalded dog, so much for not being afraid of \"Heavy
D.\"
WINNER: KID KASH
In the back, Hudson interviewed Callis. I love listening to Callis talk.
He promoid Sharkboy vs. Abyss, then the Red Shirts talked about Raven.
Match 2: Sharkboy vs. Abyss
Predictably, poor Sharkboy was no match for the monster Abyss. He certainly
tried though, taking to the air with dropkicks and doing a hit and run offence
before a huge press slam turned the favor. Shark made a couple of brief
comeback attempts before the inevitable Black Hole Slam ended the squash.
More postmatch shenanigans as Abyss beat on Sharky some more before
powerbombing him through a table.
WINNER: ABYSS
Hudson + Raven. Raven lists all the people he has taken out of TNA, such as
Mitchell, Vampiro, and others. Raven wanted the Gauntlet match to get
closer to Jarrett. The Gathering tries to talk to Raven, and Raven brushes
them off. They promise that Raven will know how they feel...ohhh...
foreshadowing.

Match 3: X vs. Chris Sabin
3 X-division matches on the show. Jason a happy boy. Sabin made the
mistake of trying to shoulderblock the 269lb X only to get taken down.
Sabin flew around to take X off his game, but X did a handstand out of a
monkeyflip and hit a sit out chokeslam! X draped Chris over the top rope
and hit a guillotine legdrop. X ended up outside and Sabin hit a no hands
sommersault plancha, followed by a springboard spinkick on the inside for a
two. X tried for the package piledriver, Sabin broke out and went for a
bridge pin, X bridged out into a powerbomb and then hit a senton. After
tossing him to the floor, X hit a backbreaker in the isle and then climbed
up top and missed a senton to the ramp! Damn! Chris capitalized with a
sit-out DVD for the win.
Winner: Chris Sabin.
Hart in the crowd with Hudson. Hart asked who wanted to be at ringside to
strap Jeff Jarrett and interviews fans for the iFans Revenge Matchi with
Dusty Rhodes.
A video package outlining Raven setting The Gathering Free and choosing The
Sandman over them for a tag match, and the challenge for the match against
the Red Shirts.
Match 4: Raven vs. Legend & Northcutt.
Gauntlet style match, which meant Raven faced Legend then after one of them
wins, Northcutt faced Raven. Raven teased an early DDT, Legend rolled out
of the ring and Raven hit a plancha? Legend dominated until Raven blocked a
running boot and took Legend out with the Evenflow. He stood and walked
right into a big boot by Northcutt, as the matches were one after another.
Legend and Northcutt double-teamed Raven, Raven came back until Abyss made
an appearance. Callis and Legend set up a table on the floor, but the
Gathering made the save. Nothing else happened, so the earlier
foreshadowing revealed nothing this week.
Winner: Match 1: Raven, Match 2: No Contest

X-Division Title Match.
More Jimmy Hart recruiting fans. Wow, a lot of these guys mysteriously look
like wrestlers.
Match 5: X-Division Championship.
Michael Shane (Champion) vs. Sonjay Dutt (Challenger)
More X-divisiony goodness that almost makes up for having Dusty Rhodes in
another TNA main event. I said almost. Shane attacked to start and punched
away at the \"Playa from the Himalayas\" Douglas and Tracy watched the match
picked up the pace. Dutt blocked a hiptoss by rebounding off the ropes and
reversing. Tenay announces that Abyss & The Red Shirts challenge Raven &
The Gathering for next week. Franchise INC. chant \"Sonjay\" as Shane wore
down the challenger. Dutt came back by striking fast and hard with punches
and moves, landed on his feet from a suplex attempt and kicked out of a
fishermanis DDT. Shane took a page out of his cousins book trying for a
superkick and Dutt blocked it. A miscommunication as the referee tried to
count Shane down while Dutt was setting up the Himalayan press. Tracy
pulled Dutt off, a chain shot by Shane, and no new champion. As hinted over
the past month or so, Michael Shane is Douglasi new Franchise.
Winner: And Still X-Division Champion n Michael Shane.
In back, Hudson interviewed Dusty, bringing me crashing back to earth that
Rhodes is in the main event. Brief rant here. I haven\'t seen Jerry Lynn or
D-Lo Brown in weeks. TNA has it\'s pick of some of the best wrestlers in the
North American Independent Scene. Instead what I have seen is AJ Styles try
and carry a 320lb senior to a decent match, and seen Lex Luger disrupting my
screen and boring me to death. Moves like this are part of the reason why
some people went from calling TNA the best thing out there to just another
runner in the herd.
Styles mentioned his title shot next week. Should be another fantastic
match.

Match 6: NWA Tag Team Championship.
Glen Gilberti, Simon & Swinger vs. 3 Live Kru
Anyone remember that last year Ron Killing\'s was NWA Champion? Hard to
believe that he has fallen to having horrible theme music and teaming with
Konnan and James. Former champs America\'s Most Wanted head to ringside to
check out the match from the commentator table. Match started slowly before
the \"Do The Damn Thing Drop.\" Raven was shown backstage arguing with The
Gathering about next week. I hate Konnan, but he hits the X-Factor on
Gilberti to spite me. Whenever the faces tried to do a move, like Jamesi
pumphandle slam, they were stopped by the heels. Diamond punched away at BG
and mocked his little dance, and BG showed his appreciation with a low blow.
Truth got the hot tag and showed why he deserves better by flying all over
the place. Match turned into a cluster frick and everyone except Swinger
and Killings ended up outside. The Ax-kick by Killing set up the pin, David
Young ran in and hit Killings. AMW breaks up the pin attempt, all hell broke
loose, and Killings pinned Swinger to win the belts. Why does God punish me
so?
Winners: And NEW World Tag Team Champions: 3 Live Kru
Roddy Piper interview. Something about being 25 feet from Johnny Cashis
grave. Piper is wearing black, something. Basically Piper is coming back.
Woo Fricken hoo.
Don West over hyped the \"Babes of TNA\" Calendar, TNA in Demand, DVDs, and
next weeks show. Styles vs. Jarrett for the belt, Abyss & Security vs.
Raven & The Gathering, plus much more!
Match 7: Fans Revenge
Jeff Jarrett vs. Dusty Rhodes.
Not a title match, thank god. The Leather Lumberjacks came out to Hoganis
\"American Made\" theme. The match was dedicated to the memory of Dick
Hutton. Dusty waddled around and moved sloooow. A bionic elbow caused
Jarrett to scurry outside, and a whippin did occur, if ya wheel. The fans
at ringside pound the apron with the straps. The match degenerates to
Jarrett doing nothing and Dusty doing less until Rhodes accidentally elbowed
the referee. Jarrett grabbed a leather belt and started whipping Rhodes.
In came Hart, who whipped Callis and Don sold it awesomely. Watts ran in,
Red Shirts ran in, AJ ran in, my Satellite feed cut out for a moment, and
when it came back Tenay yelled \"Styles and Jarrett next week for the NWA
title!\"
Winner: No Contest.
The undercard was really good, the last two matches dragged it down,
especially the pointless and horrid main event.
Jason Clevett says it has been a pleasure recapping, Donnie should be
back next week, unless the drugs I slipped him to make him forget that he
worked for SLAM! So I could steal his job took effect. If they did, look
for iDonnie Abrieu, Lost in Clevelandi to begin next week.
