Smackdown!: Kane has last word on \'Taker
By DALE PLUMMER -- SLAM! Wrestling

The aftermath of Survivor Series hits Houston, Texas, tonight. Michael Cole and Tazz bring us the action on Smackdown!, as always.

Vince McMahon hobbles to the ring with Sable has his side. Despite a broken ankle, several stitches, and a blood transfusion, Vince was able to beat Undertaker in a buried alive match. Vince wastes ten minutes gloating how he won. If you missed it, read John Powell\'s PPV recap. (Nothing like sucking up to the boss.) Vinnie Mac says the higher power sent him an angle, and the angle was Kane. Umm...yeah. Vince then announces that Kane will be making a special appearance to deliver a eulogy for his brother, The Undertaker. John Cena cuts him off, then. The Doctor of Thug-a-nomics gets lyrical on Vince and punks him out. Vince is very upset; bad move by Cena.

Brock Lesnar is chewing out his team for losing at Survivor Series; read all about the match in John Powell\'s recap! Brock tells them they can redeem themselves, tonight. He spoke with Paul Heyman. Nathan Jones will take on Chris Benoit and Big Show will face John Cena. Brock then orders them all out of the locker room.

Match #1 -  Rey Misterio vs. Akoi w/ Tajiri and the other guy (Sakoda)

Misterio hits a big spot early with a double tilt-a-whirl head scissors. Akoi fights back with a clothesline. Akoi heads to the top rope, but Misterio crotches him on the turnbuckle and both men go down. Misterio nails a springboard senton, and follows it up with a tornado DDT. Akoi kicks out of the pin. A spinning heel kick lays out Misterio, but Akoi cannot connect with a corkscrew moonsault. Misterio sends Akio in to the ropes with a hurricarana, and then dials up the 619. Misterio follows with the West Coast Pop. Um, Rey, I don\'t think you\'re supposed to drop Akoi on his head like that. Misterio gets the 1-2-3 for the win.

Winner via pin-fall: Rey Misterio

Heyman is on the phone backstage. He\'s sees a security guard reading the Smackdown! magazine. Apparently, the mag is all Pual\'s idea. He then discovers the Basham\'s \"celebrating\" their PPV victory with Shaniqua. I won\'t elaborate since this is a family friendly web site.  Heyman then finds Shannon Moore. Paul tells him that since Matt Hardy went to RAW, he\'ll make Moore a huge star. His rise to the top starts tonight, against Matt Morgan.

Match #2 - Shannon Moore vs. Matt Morgan

Moore gets in about two seconds of offense in this match. Morgan finishes Moore off with a sit-down powerbomb.

Winner via pinfall: Matt Morgan

Match #3- A-train vs. Bradshaw

Why, oh, why?!? A-Train hits the Derailer outside the ring, and then nails Bradshaw with a bicycle kick to finish off Bradshaw.

Winner via pinfall: A-Train

Match #4 - Chris Benoit vs. Nathan Jones

Brock Lesnar comes out to support Jones. Hmm...I wonder if the champ will be getting involved in this match? It doesn\'t seem so, as Jones just overpowers Benoit. Benoit survives the beating, and lands the rolling german suplexes. The rabid wolverine climbs the rope and knocks Jones to the ground with a missile drop kick. Benoit misses with a flying head butt when Jones rolls to safety. Jones regains control, but Benoit reverses a gorilla slam into the Crippler Cross Face. Lesnar jumps to the apron, but Benoit knocks him back to mat. The CCF is re-applied and Jones taps out.

Winner via submission: Chris Benoit

Kane is on Smackdown!, but he\'s not here to stay. And don\'t even get me started on how this totally flies in the face of a brand split. Kane says he can\'t deliver a eulogy, because his brother has been dead for a long time. Kane blasts his brother for not being true to himself, for becoming caring and compassionate, and most importantly weak. Kane goes on to say he enjoyed stopping the fraud that was his brother. He finishes off the tirade with a maniacal laugh.

Match #5 - Jamie Noble vs. Tajiri - Cruiserweight Title Match

This is the match that was bumped off of Survivor Series and moved to Heat. I\'m guessing we\'re having a rematch since nobody saw the match on Sunday. Tajiri\'s goons are sent to the back before the match even starts. Noble had the title wrapped up after a Tiger Bomb. A blind Nidia walked out on stage, providing Tajiri enough distraction to roll up Noble for a pin. After the match, Noble asked Nidia why she didn\'t stay in the back.

Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjiman are backstage with Paul Heyman. They thank Paul for granting them a match with Los Guerreros.

Match #6 - Los Guerreros vs. The World\'s Greatest Tag Team

Benji has revenge on his mind, as Chavo took him out with a shot to the knee two months ago. Haas is pinned after a frog splash from Eddie. That doesn\'t stop Benjiman from getting vengeance, though. Chavo is isolated in the ring, and Haas and Benji goes to work on his knee. Benji tries to pull Chavo\'s leg off with a chair. Uncle Eddie finally clears the ring, but the damage is done.

Winner via pin fall: Los Guerreros

The Cat is making his debut next week. The people in Boise, Idaho are so excited; they gave him a key to the city, and all the potatoes he could eat.

Chavo is getting his leg worked on in the trainer\'s room. He wants to know where Eddie was. Eddie tries to apologize, but Chavo doesn\'t want to hear it and sends him away. He then rips into the trainer for not being able to prescribe him any painkillers. I smell a heel turn.

Vince is motivating Big Show for his match with John Cena. How about \"Big Show, you better win, or you\'re going on a diet.\" Someone call Dr. Phill!

Match #7- John Cena vs. The Big Show

Big Show takes Vince\'s words to heart and dominates the match early. Cena fights back, and nails Show with the throwback, but cannot get the pin. Cena grabs a chair, but uses it to distract the ref. Instead, Cena kicks Show in the lower extremities. The big man doesn\'t go down, and reverses Cena into the corner. Show takes a shot at the ref, giving Cena time to grab his chain. Show takes the steel to the forehead. Cena picks up Show for the F-U, but collapses under the immense weight. Show recovers, and tosses Cena from the ring. Show picks up Cena, tossing him into the ring post. Cena is rolled back into the ring. Show picks up the ring steps. The giant throws them at Cena, who ducks just in time. Cena also ducks a boot from Show that catches the ref instead. Show catches Cena with a sidewalk slam. The U.S. champ picks up the steps to finish off Cena. Instead, Cena kicks out Show\'s knees and the steps fall onto the big man\'s head. Cena then nail Show with the steps again for good measure. Cena covers but the ref is still out. Nick Patrick hits the ring and makes the three count. Cena leaves victorious. That\'s it folks!

Winner via pinfall: John Cena
