The following weekend on Saturday, November 8, is the First Annual VCW
Legends
Appreciation Night, run by 10th Inning Sports Collectibles of Hampton
and Virginia Championship Wrestling. The show is at The Abingdon Ruritan
Club at 8784 Guinea Road in Gloucester, Virginia, with tickets only $10
($5 for kids 12 and under).
The promotion will be honoring Ivan Koloff, Nikolai Volkoff, Tito
Santana and Larry Zbyszko. There will also be seven matches from by the
stars of Virginia Championship Wrestling. For more information, see
their web site at www.vcw-wrestling.com.
Finally, on Saturday, December 6, promoter Tommy Fiero follows up on his
successful August
event with another Fan SLAM!: The Wrestling Fan Festival in Totowa,
NJ at the Holiday Inn on Rt. 46 West. Big names scheduled for the event
include 'Dr. D' David Shultz, The Missing Link (Dewey Robertson), Koko
B. Ware, Kamala, Chief Jay Strongbow, Ivan Putski, 'The Million Dollar
Man' Ted Dibiase. Add WrestleCrap author RD Reynolds, Total
Wrestling editor Bill Apter, and indy stars Crowbar, April Hunter
and Slyk Wagner Brown, and it's a pretty stacked event.
Ticketing is available at different levels. It's $8 to get in the door,
$20 to get in to the show and the question and answer session. Most of
the performers will be charging for their autographs. If you want many
autographs, it's worth considering the $100 super ticket, which gets you
in to the show, the Q & A sessions, and autograph pictures and Polaroid
pictures of Shultz, The Link, DiBiase, Putski, Kamala, and Koko B. Ware.
