Tenay puts NWA-TNA/EA rumours to rest
By JON WALDMAN -- SLAM! Wrestling

The rumour of a NWA-TNA/EA Sports wrestling game has been all but silenced, thanks to new information that appeared on the wrestling company's website earlier this week.

In the October 13 edition of Ask the Professor, Mike Tenay was asked about the rumour. Tenay responded that, "We will have an announcement soon about a video game, but I don't believe it will be courtesy of EA Sports."

Tenay's comments come shortly after SLAM! reported late last week that EA Sports had only been in discussion with NWA-TNA. Jennifer Gonzalez, public relations coordinator for EA Sports, told SLAM! that, "EA is currently not working on a wrestling game. Apparently we have had conversations with TNA but there is nothing in the works."

Jon Waldman has been with SLAM! since 2000. Keep checking SLAM! Wrestling as this story develops.
