Proud uncle praises 'The Rundown'
By RICKY JOHNSON -- For SLAM! Wrestling

The Rock in 'The Rundown'.

I have some home movies from when Dwayne was young, and I played one recently, and I saw "Beck" (Dwayne's character in 'The Rundown') in real life, even back then.

This was truly a breakthrough vehicle for Dwayne, and to be perfectly honest again, he put on a magnificent display, and passed with flying colors.

Professional wrestling was a big part of all of our lives (myself, my brother, Dwayne's grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia). It's probably the only thing that I ever did well (subject to opinion of course).

But that chapter may well be closed for Dwayne, as it appears that a new day is "Beck-oning", and my nephew is "Walking Tall" as Hollywood's newest action hero.
