Rocky proves himself in new flick
By JON WALDMAN - SLAM! Wrestling

The Rock and Sean William Scott are shown in a scene from Universal Studios action adventure "The Rundown".

What wrestling fans will not be happy with, however, is just how good Rock is in the movie. Many observers felt that this was Rock's make-or-break movie. The Scorpion King was a big success but the movie had a built-in fan-base thanks to the previous Mummy movies. This was the Rock's first standalone work, and he looks to go over in the eyes of Hollywood, thanks to his ability to work both humour and action into his role.

Overall, The Rundown is worth the price of admission, as you will get an entertaining two-or-so hours of action, drama and laughs (more than you can say for most WWE programming these days). Oh, and for those clamouring for reports on the rumoured cameos, let's just say that an individual who appeared on Smackdown! made a guest appearance.
