Just in time for Canada Day, Toronto\'s Gail Kim made her WWE TV debut
on RAW Monday night, and walked away with the WWE Women\'s title.
Kim won the title in a seven-woman battle royal near the beginning of
the show, broadcast live from Buffalo, N.Y.
The others in the match were WWE Womens Champ Jazz, Trish Stratus,
Victoria, Ivory, Molly Holly and Jacqueline. For her debut, Gail wore a
black, two-piece, Matrix-like outfit.
Ivory was the first eliminated, followed by Jazz, Jacqueline and Molly
Holly.
That left Trish, Victoria and Gail. After giving Gail a clothesline,
Victoria and Trish battled on the top turnbuckle. Trish landed on the
apron and was knocked to the floor. Victoria went after Gail. After
pounding her for a minute, Victoria picked up Gail for a power bomb.
Gail turned it into a head scissors, flipped Victoria over the top rope
to the floor and Gail held on to the ropes for the win.
