Daniel Nestor, the lone Canadian competing Friday at Wimbledon, scored a victory in men’s doubles competition.

The 41-year-old Toronto native, along with Serbian partner Nenad Zimonjic, took down German duo Dustin Brown and Jan-Lennard Struff 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 at the All England Club in London.

Nestor and Zimonjic move on to the third round where they will face Uruguay’s Pablo Cuevas and Spain’s David Marrero.

Eugenie Bouchard of Westmount, Que., faces Germany’s Andrea Petkovic in another third-round meeting. Vasek Pospisil of Vernon, B.C., will team up with Jack Sock of the U.S. against India’s Rohan Bopanna and Pakistan’s Aisam Qureshi in a second-round matchup.
