Canadian Daniel Nestor and his Swedish partner Robert Lindstedt were bounced from Wimbledon on Tuesday by the doubles tandem of Rohan Bopanna, of India, and Edouard Roger-Vasselin, of France.

The quarterfinal match needed tie-breaks in three consecutive sets before Bopanna and Roger-Vasselin pulled away in the final set for a scoreline of 7-5, 7-6 (3), 6-7 (4), 6-7 (3), 6-2, the difference being the 31 aces the hard-hitting winners served past the Canadian and his Swedish teammate.

Nestor bounced back later in the day with French partner Kristina Mladenovic to advance to the third round in mixed doubles.

Nestor and Mladenovic topped the British duo of Dominic Inglot and Johanna Konta in three sets 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, moving them into the third round against Pakistan’s Aisam Qureshi and Zimbabwe’s Cara Black on Thursday.
