Canada's brightest hope in Wimbledon, 21st-seeded Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., will play Santiago Giraldo of Colombia in the opening round.

Four other Canadians gained direct entry into the main draw for the Grand Slam tournament, including top-seeded Daniel Nestor and partner Max Mirnyi of Belarus in men's doubles.

Stephanie Dubois of Laval, Que., and Aleksandra Wozniak of Blainville, Que., will play in the women's singles while Vasek Pospisil of Vancouver will join Raonic in the men's draw.

Pospisil will open the tournament against American Sam Querrey. If he and Raonic both advance, they will meet in the second round.

Wozniak will face. 94-ranked Vera Dushevina of Russia in her opening singles match while Dubois will play 25th-seeded Zheng Jie of China.

Nestor and Mirnyi will start against Americans Michael Russell and Donald Young while Wozniak and her partner, Simona Halep of Romania, will play Yaroslava Shvedova and Galina Voskoboeva of Kazakhstan.
