WIMBLEDON -- Another Canadian was ousted from Wimbledon yesterday.

Stephanie Dubois, of Laval, Que., who after a very good start that saw her take a 5-2 lead in the first set, lost 7-5, 6-2 to Italian Sara Errani.

The loss marked the second consecutive year that Dubois was eliminated in the first round at Wimbledon.

"It's disappointing," she said. "I shouldn't have let (Errani) come back in the match. I need to improve on that."

TRAINED WITH SHARAPOVA

Dubois said that she trained hard for the tournament and practised with some of the world's best, including Maria Sharapova.

"But my game (yesterday) didn't reflect that."

Errani also had a tough day despite the win, injuring her lower back trying to make a tough shot. But she came back and took charge.

Dubois said she made too many errors.

"I was aggressive, but not at the important moments," she said.
