Stosur cool in the shades
By DAVE POLLARD, QMI Agency

Corey Hart should meet Samantha Stosur.

No, not Corey Hart the baseball player. And definitely not Carey Hart the tattoo guy. No, the other one. The "Sunglasses at Night" dude.

Stosur, now into the final four at the Rogers Cup, is one of the few players on the WTA circuit to wear sunglasses during her matches. And she rocks the thick, black shades day or night.

The sunglasses have become her trademark look, much like golfer Jesper Parnevik and his upturned hat. She even counts Oakley among her sponsors.

"When I was about 14, I thought it might be kind of cool and I'd look different than everyone else, so I wanted to wear them," Stosur, a 27-year-old Aussie, said. "Mom and dad went out and bought me some and ever since I've played in them. I think now I take my racquets, I take my sunglasses. It's part of everything I take to the court to play."

Do you think it's a good idea for the U.S. Open to hold the men's final on a Monday?
