Bad Gastein, Austria - Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez earned a straight-set victory over Austrian wild card Patricia Mayr-Achleitner on Sunday to win the Gastein Ladies Open.

Martinez Sanchez recorded nine aces en route to beating Mayr-Achleitner, 6-0, 7-5. She claimed her fourth career WTA singles title and first since winning in Rome last year. The 28-year-old Spaniard appeared in her fifth career final, all on clay.

Mayr-Achleitner, 24, made her debut in a WTA final after routing eighth-seeded Russian Ksenia Pervak, 6-0, 6-0, on Saturday. She posted the first double bagel in the semifinals of a WTA tournament since 2005, when Lindsay Davenport bested Maria Sharapova at Indian Wells.

The 109th-ranked Mayr-Achleitner saved only three of nine break points.
