Wozniacki topples Kuznetsova
By Sports Network

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates -- Top seed Caroline Wozniacki needed just over 75 minutes to dispatch 16th-seeded Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova Sunday to capture the title at the $2.05 million Dubai Tennis Championships.

The 20-year-old Dane, who will wrestle the No. 1 ranking on Monday away from 2011 Australian Open champion Kim Clijsters, broke Kuznetsova's serve seven times in the 6-1, 6-3 triumph.

Wozniacki did not drop a set this week en route to her 13th career WTA singles title.

Kuznetsova, meanwhile, lost in the final here for the third time. She was the Dubai runner-up in 2004 and 2008.

Do you think it's a good idea for the U.S. Open to hold the men's final on a Monday?
