Canadian retires in Memphis final
By Sports Network

MEMPHIS -- Magdalena Rybarikova won her second career WTA title Saturday night after sixth-seeded Canadian Rebecca Marino retired in the final at the $220,000 Cellular South Cup tennis event.

Rybarikova had won the first set, 6-2, in a little under half an hour. Marino withdrew before the second set began because of a left abdominal injury.

The Slovak Rybarikova, 22, picked up her first WTA title since June 2009, when she won in Birmingham, England. She collected $37,000 for the victory.

Marino, 20, was appearing in the first final of her career.
