Bartoli moves on in Brisbane By Sports Network

BRISBANE, Australia -- France's Marion Bartoli was a second-round winner Wednesday at the season-opening Brisbane International tennis event.

Bartoli, the No. 4 seed, notched a 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 victory over Czech Iveta Benesova.

Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova topped Italian Roberta Vinci 6-2, 7-5 at this Australian Open tuneup.

Other second-round winners included German Andrea Petkovic, Petra Kvitova and fellow Czech Barbora Zahlavova Strycova.

This week's winner will earn $37,000.
