MOSCOW -- Second-seeded Victoria Azarenka and sixth seed Maria Kirilenko were among Friday's quarterfinal winners at the $1 million Kremlin Cup tennis event.

The Belarusian Azarenka leveled seventh-seeded Russian Alisa Kleybanova 6-1, 6-3, while the Russian Kirilenko dismantled 17-year-old Kazakhstanian qualifier Zarina Diyas 6-1, 6-2 on the indoor hardcourts at Olympic Stadium. Diyas stunned top-seeded Jelena Jankovic here on Thursday.

Two other quarterfinals saw eighth-seeded Spaniard Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez subdue Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova 6-2, 6-3 and Vera Dushevina top fellow Russian Anna Chakvetadze 6-3, 7-6 (9-7). The former top-10 star Chakvetadze, who hails from Moscow, captured this event in 2006.

Saturday's semifinals will pit Azarenka against Martinez Sanchez and Kirilenko versus Dushevina, in an all-Russian affair. Russia is guaranteed a finalist here on Sunday.

This week's winner will collect $157,427.
