Milos Raonic’s stay in the top 10 of the ATP world rankings didn’t last long.

But the Canadian tennis star, now ranked 11th in the world after a one-week stay at No. 10, will be the 10th seed at the U. S. Open later this month in New York.

The seedings were released Tuesday.

Raonic moved up a spot in the seedings thanks to the absence of France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who won’t play in the final grand slam tournament of the year due to a knee injury. Tsonga withdrew from the U.S. Open last week.

Novak Djokovic of Serbia is the top seed in the men’s draw, followed by Rafael Nadal of Spain, Andy Murray of Great Britain, David Ferrer of Spain and Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic.

Former world No. 1 Roger Federer of Switzerland is seventh.

On the women’s side, Serena Williams of the U.S. is the No. 1 seed, with Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, Maria Sharapova of Russia, Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland and Sara Errani of Italy round out the top five.

No Canadian women are among the top 32 players in the draw.

The U.S. Open gets under way Aug. 26.
