Canadian in final at Paris

Filip Peliwo of Vancouver has won a spot in the Roland-Garros junior boys singles final in Paris. Seeded fifth, the Canadian defeated Adam Pavlasek of the Czech Republic 2-6, 7-6(5), 6-0 in a semifinal Friday. Peliwo, 18, hit five aces and committed just three unforced errors en route to the win. He will play No. 6 seed Kimmer Coppejans of Belgium in the final Sunday on the Philippe-Chatrier court. Peliwo also made it to the Australian Open junior boys final this year, losing in three sets to Luke Saville. |
