Canadian Frank Dancevic, riding a hot streak, advanced to the second round at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami with a 7-5, 6-0 win Thursday over Jeremy Chardy of France.

Dancevic, 27, will take a 10-match winning streak on to the court Saturday against American Mardy Fish, who is ranked No. 8 in the world.

A native of Niagara Falls, Ont., Dancevic qualified for the main draw after winning the Dallas Challenge last week.

Two other Canadians, Milos Raonic and Aleksandra Wozniak, will play second-round matches Friday against Arnaud Clement and Monica Niculescu respectively.
