Seles to write book series

Tennis legend Monica Seles is swapping sports for story-telling after signing a deal to publish a series of books aimed at teenagers.

The retired former world number one has agreed to a deal with publishing giant Bloomsbury to release a collection of young-adult novels called The Academy.

The books will follow a group of young sports stars during their time at an elite academy. The first installment is due next year, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
