Milos Raonic headlines the Miele Canadian Davis Cup team that will meet France in a first-round tie Feb. 10-12.

Raonic, of Thornhill, Ont., was named to the squad Tuesday along with Frank Dancevic of Niagara Falls, Ont., Daniel Nestor of Toronto and Vasek Pospisil of Vancouver. Peter Polansky of Thornhill will join the team as a fifth player.

The tie will be held on the indoor hard court at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre in Vancouver. The French roster also was announced: Doubles specialists Julien Benneteau and Michael Llodra, world No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and world No. 13 Gael Monfils.

Raonic is the top-ranked Canadian at No. 28.

France will obviously be a tough challenge with so many top players, but I believe in this group and their ability to rise to the occasion, Canadian captain Martin Laurendeau said. We are a confident team after overcoming last years obstacles and there is a camaraderie and respect for one another that is essential for Davis Cup success.
