By QMI Agency

Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ontario advanced to the fourth round of the men's singles draw at the Australian Open early Saturday in Melbourne, Australia.

Raonic defeated No. 10 seed Mikhail Youzhny of Russia 6-4, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4.

Next up for Raonic will be a match against No. 7 seed David Ferrer of Spain, who beat Richard Berankis of Lithuania 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.

Raonic is the first Canadian male to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament since Daniel Nestor did so in 1999.

Raonic recorded 31 aces, to Youzhny's three. His fastest serve speed was recorded at 225 km/h.
